Effect of 2D-EBG Structure on Monopole Antenna Radiation and Analysis of Its Characteristics
Abstract: In this paper, we present a two dimensional electromagnetic (2D-EBG) square shaped mushroom structure placed between two monopole antennas. Two artificial properties of this 2D-EBG structure such as PMC and Band Reject Region are investigated here. Total-internal-reflection-based optical rotation quasi-phase-matching for efficient second-harmonic generation in Cadmium Germanium Arsenide crystal
Abstract: This study investigates a total-internal-reflection (TIR)-based optical rotation quasi-phase-matching (ORQPM) approach for second harmonic generation within a cadmium germanium arsenide crystal slab. The crystal is coated with a thin film of yttrium oxide to facilitate precise control over phase shifts between p- and s-polarized light upon reflection at the slab-film interface. By leveraging the interplay between TIR- induced optical rotation and fractional QPM effects at designated bounce points, the configuration …

Design Simulation and Analysis of Improved Anti Reflecting Coating for Reflection Loss Minimization of Solar Cell
Abstract: Antireflection coatings are made up of a thin layer of dielectric material with a specific thickness and refractive index that causes the wave reflected from the top surface of the antireflection coating to be out of phase with the wave reflected from the semiconductor surface due to interference effects in the coating. Study of Effect of Various Dielectrics on the Performance of Electromagnetic Bandgap Based Microstrip Patch Antenna Structure
Abstract: Here the effect of various dielectrics on the performance of microstrip patch antenna with underlying electromagnetic bandgap structure is investigated. This unique antenna structure suppresses the surface waves and reflects plane waves with no phase change and thus acts as a perfect magnetic conductor (PMC). Dielectric losses are reduced due to the presence of EBG structure and bandwidth enhancement is observed when compared to the non-EBG structure. The effect of …
