Linear Programming for Profit Optimization in Small-Scale Manufacturing: A Python-Based Simplex and Machine Learning Approach
Abstract: Profit maximization under resource constraints is a classic challenge. Small manufacturers face tight margins and scarce capital every day. This paper tackles that problem using four Python-based methods. The case study is Bintang Bakery in Bandar Lampung, Indonesia. The bakery makes three bread types and faces 18 resource constraints. Data comes from Anggoro et al. Methods tested include LP revised simplex, Differential Evolution, PSO, and ANN Surrogate. General-purpose scipy minimizers …

A Threshold-Weighted Mathematical Fusion Model for Epidemic Outbreak Prediction Using SEIR Residual Dynamics and Cloud-Based Machine Learning
Abstract: Accurate prediction of epidemic outbreaks is critical for effective public health management, resource planning, early warning generation, and timely intervention by municipal authorities. Traditional compartmental models such as Susceptible–Exposed–Infectious–Recovered (SEIR) offer valuable epidemiological insights and mathematical interpretability; however, they may not adequately capture the complex nonlinear relationships present in real-world urban health systems. Conversely, data-driven machine learning techniques can identify hidden patterns in large datasets but often lack epidemiological structure …

An Analytical Study on Learning Difficulties in Estimation Theory Among Undergraduate Engineering Students
Abstract: Estimation Theory is a critical mathematical foundation for all engineering disciplines, enabling learners to model uncertainty, analyse signals, and derive optimal estimators. However, undergraduate students frequently struggle with its abstract properties, complex derivations, and prerequisite statistical concepts. This study investigates the key learning difficulties faced by students across multiple engineering branches using diagnostic tests, structured questionnaires, and interviews. The findings reveal that students commonly experience challenges related to weak probability …

House Price Estimation Using Linear Regression: A Machine Learning Perspective
Abstract: House price prediction plays a crucial role in the real estate industry, helping buyers, sellers, and investors make well-informed decisions. Accurate estimation of property values enables stakeholders to assess market trends, plan investments, and minimize financial risks. This study focuses on the application of linear regression, a fundamental and widely used machine learning algorithm, to predict house prices based on multiple influencing factors. These factors include location, property size, number …

CIPHER Intelligence: AI-Powered Global Military Expenditure Analysis and Predictive Modeling
Abstract: Military expenditure analysis has emerged as a critical component of economic and geopolitical intelligence in the modern era. This paper presents CIPHER Intelligence, a comprehensive AI-powered platform for analyzing and predicting global military spending patterns across 211 countries spanning54 years (1970-2024). We employ advanced machine learning techniques, particularly Random Forest regression models, to achieve 99.5% prediction accuracy for military expenditure forecasting based on economic indicators. The platform integrates data from …

Technometric Portrait of Sri Vinod Dham, an Indo-US Engineer, Father of Intel Pentium Process: A Quantitative Analysis
Abstract: Vinod Dham is recognized as the ‘Father of Pentium Chip’ or ‘Father of Intel Pentium Process’ in the field of the computer industry, and as an Indo-American pioneer from Silicon Valley. He has contributed 10 research papers during 1982–1986, with an average of two papers per year. This study tries to analyze his contributions through a bibliometric study and draw his familiarity as a world-famous electronic technologist. Data has been …

China’s Economic Performance (2020–2024): A Sectoral Index Analysis
Abstract: This study applies Laspeyres, Paasche, and Fisher ideal indices to China’s official 2020–2024 price and quantity data, quantifying sectoral inflation and real growth in agriculture, manufacturing, services, exports, and investment. Results show manufacturing experienced mild deflation (Laspeyres ≈ 98.7, implying ≈ 1.3% overall price decline) with a slight real output drop (~6.1%). A key driver was a sharp 21.4% fall in electric vehicle unit prices, despite +523% volume growth. Services …

Exploratory Analysis of the Statistical Characteristics of Nuclear Fuel Cost Trends
Abstract: Nuclear power reactors of the current fleet mainly use uranium as the fissile fuel material. The economics of nuclear fuels are mainly governed by the prices of uranium. This work is an analysis of monthly uranium price data available from public data sources, covering the time frame from January 1990 to April 2025. In the near term, from 2021 to 2024, monthly uranium spot prices have been between $ 35.28±6.64/lb …

Introduction to Statistical Tests of Significance
Abstract: Hypothesis examination is the process in which we compare between two differing hypotheses. i.e. the null hypothesis H0 and the alternative hypothesis. As the null hypothesis is examined, a choice is either correct or incorrect. An incorrect conclusion can be produced in two methods: We can deny the null hypothesis once it is true (Type I error) or we cannot succeed to eliminate the null hypothesis when it is incorrect …

Investigating the Quality of Online Education from University-level Students’ Perspective in Bangladesh
Abstract: Coronavirus disease has disrupted the global education system in the year 2020. An online teaching platform was the only alternative to the face-to-face classroom teaching to continue educational activities. The main purpose of the study was to assess the quality of online education from the perceptive of university-level students in Bangladesh. The research found that the class materials, the interaction between teacher and students, interaction among students, technical support availability …

Performance of Some Modified Ordinary Ridge Regression Estimators
Abstract: In multiple linear regressions, if the data suffer from severe multicollinearity, then the ordinary least squares (OLS) method become more sensitive to it, and in such a case OLS could yield wrong sign for some of the regression coefficients. Therefore, when such a situation arises, we could use one of the biased regression methods viz., ridge regression, principal component regression, and so on, as an alternative method to OLS. This …

Assessment of Heavy Metals in Underground Water Situated at Automobile Workshops in Ede Metropolis
Abstract: The study investigated the determination of heavy metals concentration (Co, Cd, Ni, Pb, and Cr) in underground water situated in auto-mobile workshops in Ede metropolis. Four different samples were collected, two from the auto-mobiles workshop while two were collected 50 meters away from the Auto-mobiles workshop in both local governments which served as control. The result was Cr-0.416– 0.477 mg/L; Cd-0.018–0.040 mg/L; Pb-0.038–0.066 mg/L; Ni-0.042–0.052 mg/L; Co-0.043–0.200 mg/L. Cobalt has …

Modeling the Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) as Hidden Markov Chains
Abstract: The Hidden Markov Model has over the years been an appropriate method for modeling diseases such as HIV AIDS, heart failure, and so on. With the ongoing pandemic affecting Nigeria by being responsible for 2,745 death cases out of 207,616 confirmed cases as of October 10, 2021, the need to study an important parameter of COVID-19, the case fatality rate by building a model and estimating the case fatality rate …
