Radix Entomolaris: A Clinical Case Report of Endodontic Treatment on Tooth #46
Abstract: Radix entomolaris (RE) is a rare anatomical variation characterized by the presence of an extra root, most often occurring in mandibular molars. This anatomical anomaly can present significant challenges during endodontic treatment, as it alters the traditional root canal morphology, making diagnosis and treatment more complex. In particular, RE is typically found in the mandibular first molar and can complicate canal identification, cleaning, and shaping. This case report describes the …

From Concept to Clinical Practice: A Detailed Review of Total Artificial Heart Devices
Abstract: Total artificial heart (TAH) devices are mechanical systems designed to take over the role of a failing heart in patients with severe heart failure. Unlike ventricular assistance devices (VADs), which only support one side of the heart, TAHs replace both ventricles, providing a possible solution for patients who cannot receive a heart transplant. Over time, TAH technology has evolved with a focus on improving biocompatibility, reducing complications related to the …

Pharmacogenomics in Anesthesia: Case Studies and Clinical Applications for Personalized Care
Abstract: Pharmacogenomics, the study of how genetic variability influences individual responses to medications, is transforming anesthetic practice by enabling personalized care. This case study collection explores the integration of pharmacogenomic insights into anesthesia management, highlighting its impact on safety, efficacy, and patient outcomes. Adverse reactions to anesthetics often arise from genetic polymorphisms that alter drug metabolism or sensitivity. For instance, patients with RYR1 mutations are susceptible to malignant hyperthermia (MH) when …
