Novel Characteristics of GaN based Nanoelectronic Double-Heterojunction HEMTs to Establish a Solid-State-Electronics Laboratory
Abstract: The drain characteristics are investigated with respect to electrical variables (drain voltage, gate voltage) and structural parameters of high electron mobility transistors (HEMTs). Total 10526 individual simulation-outputs are reported in this work. The maximum drain current of 553 mA is achieved by the simulated structures of double-heterojunction HEMTs using the SILVACO-ATLAS software tool. The drain current is higher at shorter gate length. The drain current is higher at larger aluminium …

The ballistics device- Potato Cannon
Abstract: Spud guns, also known as potato cannons, represent a fascinating intersection of ingenuity, physics, and recreational engineering. This paper delves into the dynamics, construction, and potential applications of spud guns. These devices typically consist of a combustion chamber, a barrel, and a triggering mechanism. The propulsion system involves igniting a gaseous mixture, often generated from aerosol propellants or other combustible materials, which propels a projectile—usually a potato or similar object—out …

DNA Hybridization Biosensor using Silicon Nanowire PIC Waveguide
Abstract: Abstract: In this paper, silicon nanowire based optical waveguide is investigated to discover its application as a bio-detecting reason. In silicon nanowire based optical waveguide, silicon bars are vertically adjusted in 2-dimensional exhibit design over SiO2 substrate. These silicon bars are of couple of nanometer sizes and called as nanowire. Low Refractive Index (RI) gapping in these silicon wires holds the optical power. Quasi-TE mode is supported by these vertical …

Analysis of Saturation Power based on Device Structural Parameters of a 1550 nm Symmetrical MQW Semiconductor Optical Amplifier
Abstract: AbstractThis paper presents the effect of device structure parameters on the saturation power of a 1550 nm symmetrical Multi Quantum Well (MQW) Semiconductor Optical Amplifier (SOA) for a small signal amplifier gain of 30 dB. Expressions are given to assess this dependency and the results indicate that saturation power decreases with the increase of the number of wells, well thickness and length but increases with the increase of barrier thickness. …
