Formulation and Development of Ibuprofen Floating Tablet
Abstract: The investigation focused on optimizing a gastric floating drug delivery system (GFDDS) for Ibuprofen tablets. It employed polymers like HPMC K4M and Carbopol 940 to improve Ibuprofen's bioavailability and therapeutic effectiveness. GFDDS, with lower bulk density than gastric fluids, remains buoyant in the stomach, extending gastric residence time. Compatibility assessments, via DSC analysis, indicated harmony between the polymers used, with no observed interaction between the polymer and the drug. The …

Enhancement of Solubility and Dissolution of Ibuprofen by Solid Dispersion Technique with the Help of Box-Behnken Design
Abstract: This study aims to develop a stable solid dispersion of ibuprofen by solvent evaporation technique with increased solubility, dissolution, and stability. Solid dispersion of ibuprofen with PEG-6000 and poloxamer 407 in different weight ratios was prepared using solvent evaporation technique. The saturation solubility study showed a significant effect of all polymers on the solubility of ibuprofen in batch F6, which showed a maximum solubility of 97.99 g/mL in water. The …

Synthesis, Molecular Docking and Biological Evaluation of Novel Chlorobenzenesulfonamide Analogues of Ibuprofen as Anti-Bacterial, Anti-Diabetic and Anti-Alzheimer Agents
Abstract: In this work, we have synthesized novel chlorobenzensulfonamide tertiary amide based analogues of Ibuprofen (Ibu) and investigated them for their anti-bacterial, anti-diabetic and anti-Alzheimer activities. In the first step, Ibu was converted to amide derivatives by incorporating different aromatic amines. These were further converted into sulfonamide analogues (Sul-Ibu, 1-9) by treating it with p-chlorobenzensulfonyl chloride. Sul-Ibu (1-9) were screened against S. aureus, B. subtilis, S. mutans, E. coli, P. aeruginosa, …

Design of Nanoparticle Drug Delivery System for NonSteroidal Anti Inflammatory Agents in the Treatment of Autoimmune Diseases
Abstract: Aim: The aim of the present study is to develop nanoparticle drug delivery system for naproxen and ibuprofen. Methodology: Ibuprofen nanoparticles were prepared by nanoprecipitation technique. Naproxen nanoparticles were prepared by desolvation technique. By adapting continuous addition method and intermittent addition, five formulations were prepared with each polymer. The obtained nanoparticles were evaluated for particle size, zeta potential, yield, drug content, entrapment efficiency and loading capacity. In vitro drug dissolution …

Organic Compounds as Anti-inflammatory Agents, Natural and Synthetic
Abstract: Inflammation diseases still threaten humanity everywhere. For which there is always a continuous demand for immediate medication, the so-called anti-inflammatory drug. Anti-inflammatory organic compounds are either of natural origin or synthetic. Many drugs represent the main constituent of plants. Turmeric, ginger, garlic, spinach, broccoli, ginseng, blueberries, clove, Aloe Vera and pineapple all are plants almost rich in anti-oxidant and flavonoids that reduce inflammation. Researchers still have spent decades of years …

Novel Nano Polymeric Lipid-Based Carriers for Emerging Pain Management of Rheumatoid Arthritis
Abstract: An inflammatory condition known as rheumatoid arthritis (RA) results in chronic joint inflammation, severe disability, and early death. RA is 3–5 times more common in women than in men, with a global frequency of roughly 0.3 percent–1%. The ultimate goal of RA treatment is to give symptomatic alleviation; there is no recognized cure for RA. NSAIDs are frequently used to treat RA, including indomethacin, diclofenac, ibuprofen, celecoxib, and specifies the …

Herbal Coxibs: Nature’s Aspirin
Abstract: Pain is part and parcel of most health conditions from joint disorders to cancer. This explains why several researchers were hooked on to unraveling the deep puzzle behind the pain mechanism and finding a better way to relieving it with medicines that went far beyond killing pain alone. When a landmark outcome emerged and identified prostaglandins, the body’s chemical messengers, as the cause of inflammation, or pain, and that they …
