Inspirations on De-addiction to Alcoholism and Drug Abuse in Our Ancient Indian Yogic Texts
Abstract: It has become obvious that `the war on drugs` has not dampened the use, abuse and trade of drugs; In fact, their use has increased. It is now long overdue to look into other reasons as to why drug use is so prevalent, especially in the modernized world, and how ancient knowledge of human being and spiritualized focus systems like yoga can contribute to our understanding of our tendency towards …

Cloning and Expression of LPS-Binding Single Domain Antibody Clones Selected from Phage Display Library of Indian Desert Camel
Abstract: Despite the absence of light chains in their structure, camelid and shark “heavy chain antibodies” (HCAbs) variable domains (designated as VHH) are able to make functional paratopes. The authors have selected lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-binder “single-domain antibodies” (dAb) clones from the previously constructed phage display library of (LPS)-immunized Indian desert camel. This study was undertaken to make available large amounts of some LPS-binder dAb clones by using a suitable expression vector-host system …

Ocular Films as a Drug Delivery System Against Fungal Infections: Current Insights and Future Directions
Abstract: Fungal infections of the eye, including keratitis, endophthalmitis, and blepharitis, represent a challenging class of ocular diseases due to their potential for vision loss and the limited efficacy of existing treatments. These infections are caused by a range of pathogenic fungi, such as Aspergillus, Candida, and Fusarium species, and often require long-term therapeutic intervention. Conventional topical antifungal therapies, such as eye drops and ointments, suffer from poor ocular bioavailability due …

Prediction of Depth-Induced Stress Distribution and Maintenance Cost Implications for Submerged Structural Components
Abstract: This study investigates the influence of water depth on stress distribution and structural integrity of submerged mechanical components . Structural models fabricated from mild steel, stainless steel, carbon steel, and copper alloy were examined under hydrostatic loading corresponding to water depths between 30 cm and 150 cm. Results indicate that normal and shear stresses increased proportionally with depth due to intensified hydrostatic pressure. Mild steel exhibited the highest stress concentrations, …
