Nanostructure-Induced Thermoelectric Enhancement in Bi₂Te₃ Nanorods Design, Analysis, and Performance Evaluation
Abstract: Thermoelectric materials capable of efficient energy conversion near room temperature are critical for waste heat recovery applications. In this work, solution-grown Bi₂Te₃ nanorods were synthesized via a trioctylphosphine-assisted thermal decomposition route, and the influence of surfactant-induced nanostructuring on their thermoelectric properties was systematically investigated. Structural analysis using X-ray diffraction and Rietveld refinement confirmed the formation of rhombohedral Bi₂Te₃ with the emergence of Bi₂Te₃–BiTe nanocomposites at higher surfactant concentrations. Electron microscopy …

Design and Development of Onion Storage Shade for Better Ventilation and Longer Life
Abstract: Onions are one of the most important cash crops for farmers in India and many other countries. However, most harvested onions are lost every year due to improper storage. Traditional storage methods, such as keeping onions in heaps under trees, in closed rooms, or in poorly ventilated sheds, do not provide sufficient airflow. As a result, moisture accumulates, leading to sprouting, fungal growth, rotting, and physical damage. These losses reduce …

Emerging Trends in Horticultural Crops: Role of Date Fruit in Promoting Urinary and Kidney Health
Abstract: Dates, or Phoenix dactylifera L., have been widely consumed in different cultures, both as a food source and for their health benefits. Whereas dates have been reported extensively to improve cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, and metabolic function, their role in urinary tract and renal health has received lesser attention in mainstream nutritional sciences. This review systematically evaluates and synthesizes the current literature on the potential effects of dates to promote urinary health …
