Emerging Trends in Photobiology: Exploring the Photophysics and Photobiology of the Eye
Abstract: The eye consists of three main segments: the cornea, lens, and retina. The primary function of the anterior ocular tissue, the cornea and lens, is to transmit and focus light onto the retina without distortion. They also filter UV light (under 400 nm), preventing it from reaching the retina. While light reaching the retina is mostly used for vision, it can also have various effects on the eye's constituents, both …

ESR Evidence of Growing Unsaturation in -Irradiated Poly (Vinyl Alcohol)
Abstract: AbstractFree radicals present in gamma irradiated PVAL subjected to different degrees oxidation are identified using ESR spectroscopy. The observed ESR spectra are analysed by computer simulations. Gamma irradiated PVAL immediately after irradiation possess ~CH2–CH–CH2~ type free radicals (I). Upon oxidation the free radicals transform to ~CH2–CH=CH–CH2~ (II) highly oxidized PVAL consist ~CH2–C=O (III) type free radicals. The results suggest that radical (I) is precursor to radicals (II) and (III). Oxidation …

Influence of Dielectric and Active layer Thickness on MgZnO Thin Film Transistor Electrical Characteristics
Abstract: From last decades, Thin Film Transistors Technology uses low-k dielectric material as an insulator. Insulator thickness plays an important role in device dimension. The insulating layer also known as the gate oxide separates the gate electrode from the channel region of the transistor. If the insulating layer is too thin, there is a greater chance that electrons can tunnel through the oxide layer, leading to leakage current. To mitigate this …

Study the Impact of Corrosive Pollutants on Building Materials Corrosion
Abstract: Reinforced concrete structures (RCS) may be made more resistant to corrosion by using fiber reinforced polymers (FRP). One of the primary concerns with reinforced concrete constructions is corrosion. It causes disintegration in building material components by interactions with salts, acids, and alkalis. Both within and outside of reinforced properties, pollutants and effluents accelerate disbanding. When bio-waste and building materials come into contact, microorganisms and macro organisms, grow and emit acid …
