Some Asymptotic Power Points for Testing the Parameters of Two Generalized Uniform Distributions
Abstract: In this paper, after getting the general form of the power functions for testing the one-sided and two-sided tests for generalized uniform distribution. Power points of some of the power functions of asymptotic tests are calculated and presented. The asymptotic tests for testing the parameters of generalized uniform distribution requires the conditional distribution of the complete sufficient statistic of the parameters of interest and also that of the nuisance parameter. …

Testing of equality of K uniform distributions
Abstract: We have studied testing equality of several uniform distributions in this article. The necessary conditional distributions of the complete sufficient statistic of the parameter of interest have been derived by fixing the nuisance parameters. Thus, conditional distribution is used for deriving the test for equality of k-independent uniform distributions. As a special case of this test has been studied for two populations

Pre-Deployment Tests of Signal Conditioning Boards for Wireless Sensor Network Deployment
Abstract: AbstractDiversity in signal measurement and transmission increases signal availability. Various well known stabilized technologies are available to use to achieve diversity in signal measurement. But to achieve transmission diversity, the wireless technology is a truly diverse mechanism of wired transmission. Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is the practical implementation of such technology. To implement WSN for nuclear reactor signals, it requires stringent testing, qualification, verification and validation of WSN nodes and …

Validation of Tropical Artificial Soil by Ecotoxicological Assessment of the Effect of Potash on Eisenia fetida
Abstract: AbstractEcotoxicity tests provide a direct measure for the effects of chemicals to earthworms and help to establish adverse ecological effects. The research methodology recommended by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Guideline for testing of chemicals no. 207 meets the most criteria expected for ecotoxicological testing except the testing condition and the organic matter. The guideline was initially developed by temperate countries like Europe and North America, thus …

Assessing the Influence of Loading Mode and Stabilization on the Deformation of Gypseous soil
Abstract: Gypseous subgrade soil usually exhibit acceptable strength when compacted with optimum moisture requirement and tested in dry condition. However, it loses its strength when came in touch with water. Such behaviour possesses a risk of failure when such soil is implemented in the construction of roadway embankment. In the present investigation, Gypseous soil was implemented in the construction of eight embankment models. The first model was the soil tested in …

An Exact Kolmogorov–Smirnov Test for the Negative Binomial Distribution with Unknown Probability of Success
Abstract: AbstractIn this paper, we develop an exact Kolmogorov–Smirnov goodness-of-fit test in the case of negative binomial distribution with an unknown probability of success. This test is conditional, with the test statistic being the maximum absolute difference between the empirical distribution function and its conditional expectation given the sample total. The results are not asymptotic, but exact. We illustrate the test with three examples in case the size parameter equals one …

Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus: Existing Understanding and Expectations in India
Abstract: Increased fracture risk, which has been connected to type 1 diabetes in the past, has now become a top concern for those with type 2 diabetes. Depending on where the bone is located, how long you've had diabetes, and the study techniques, there has been evidence of a varying increase in fracture risk, ranging from 20% to 3-fold. An increased risk of fracture has been associated with a longer disease …
