Effect of Nanoclay Loading on Physical and Mechanical Properties of Epoxy Composites
Abstract: The effects of multilayer silicate loading on hardness, tensile, and impact properties were examined by developing epoxy–nanoclay composites with 0–5 wt% nanoclay. A desirable compromise between reduced void content and higher Shore D hardness was reached with an ideal nanoclay loading of 3 wt%, which reflected improved load transfer and increased matrix stiffness as a result of limited polymer chain mobility. Tensile strength and modulus rose up to 3 wt% …

A Study on Friction Stir Processing Effected on Hardness and Tensile Properties When Single Pass and Double Pass Is Considered Using Al 6061 And Steel Material
Abstract: The principle of friction stir welding was initially employed to build the emerging technology known as friction stir processing, or FSP. FSP has shown to be a successful method of developing face mixes and increasing the material's mechanical parcels. Aluminum blends are among those accoutrements over which the FSP can be performed successfully. The study comprised the careful processing of steel and Al 6061 samples using both single and double …

Effects of Nano B4C Addition on the Solidification Behavior of Al-2219 Alloy Composites
Abstract: The inclusion of nano B4C particulates in Al-2219-Nano B4C alloy was investigated to understand their impact on hardness and wear characteristics. 500 nm-sized nano B4C particulates are used as reinforcements for structures in the Al2219 alloy matrix. The nanocomposites were fabricated using the two-stage liquid stir melt method with varying weight percentages (2, 4, 6, and 8 wt. %) of Nano B4C in the Al-2219 alloy matrix. Renewable energy dispersive …

Removal of Chloride from Ground Water Using Natural Adsorbent: Water Hyacinth
Abstract: Groundwater contaminants in rural areas often include chlorides and hardness. Nowadays, due to water scarcity, there is a need to utilize groundwater for construction purposes. According to IS 456:2000, the chloride content in water used for mixing and curing concrete must not exceed 2000 mg/l for plain concrete and 500 mg/l for reinforced concrete work. An excess amount of chloride in water causes the deterioration of structures. Concrete durability and …

Characterization of Al6082 and Magnesium AZ3lB Composite Produced by The Friction Stir Additive Manufacturing
Abstract: In this modern era, lighter and stronger materials are needed. This is especially true for materials needed in aerospace, robotics, light aircraft, defence, and transportation. When comparison to backbone products in order composite goods have a higher durability & stiffness-to-weight proportion .Most of the newer fabricating methods, called friction stir additive manufacturing (FSAM), uses solid-state drives friction stirring technology to produce bilayer structures by sequentially fusing discrete strata. In this …
