Predicting Eye Blindness by Detecting Exudates in the Retina of Human Eye
Abstract: Diabetic retinopathy is a condition where a person suffering from diabetes starts to loosen his vision slowly as the severity of the disease increases gradually. We can diagnose this condition by the fundus image of the retina of the human eye; although it is very complicated for doctors to predict the conditions just by seeing the fundus images. By detecting diabetic retinopathy at the earliest, we can protect patients from …

Image Preprocessing and Analysis on Eye Fundus Images Segmentation by Using Density Clustering Methods
Abstract: In order to do an automated evaluation of various retinal illnesses such as Diabetic retinopathy, Glaucoma, and Macular Edema, fundus images must be pre-processed first. For many reasons, it's difficult to accurately detect the optic disc. Many blood vessels cross the optic disc, making it difficult to discern the disc's boundaries in fundus images. Lesion regions in diabetic retinopathy look very much like an optic disc's colour and texture, so …

Emerging Trends in Photobiology: Exploring the Photophysics and Photobiology of the Eye
Abstract: The eye consists of three main segments: the cornea, lens, and retina. The primary function of the anterior ocular tissue, the cornea and lens, is to transmit and focus light onto the retina without distortion. They also filter UV light (under 400 nm), preventing it from reaching the retina. While light reaching the retina is mostly used for vision, it can also have various effects on the eye's constituents, both …
