Study on Hot Working Characteristics and Deformation Response of as Cast AZ91 Mg Alloys
Abstract: The deformation response of magnesium alloy AZ91 was investigated by means of hot compression tests. The flow curves were obtained in the temperature and strain rate range of 300–500°C and 0.001–1 s-1, respectively. The processing maps of the studied material were obtained by interpreting them on the basis of the dynamic material model. The activation energy maps were developed based on Lyapounov’s function and the safe processing zones were confirmed …

Some Creep-Rupture Data Analytics as Applied to AISI 310S Superalloy Austenitic Stainless Steel Sheets at Elevated Temperatures and High Applied Stresses
Abstract: Creep-rupture of AISI 301S stainless steel is analyzed at 973-1073K and 40-150MPa. Various creep curves and creep rate curves are compared to understand the effect of temperature and applied load. Creep deformation and creep fracture mechanisms are manipulated from concerned mechanism maps. Creep deformation follows high temperature climb. Creep activation energy so obtained is 345KJ/mol. It is larger than activation energy for self-diffusion in pure FCC iron (that is 270-311kJ/mol). …

Carbon-Coated Te-Doped Bi₂Se₃ as a Topological Quantum Anode Material for Sodium-Ion Batteries
Abstract: Sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) are increasingly investigated as cost-effective alternatives to lithium-ion systems for large-scale energy storage; however, the development of stable and conductive anode materials remains a major challenge. In this work, tellurium-doped bismuth selenide (Te-doped Bi₂Se₃) was synthesized and further modified with Super P conductive carbon to improve its sodium-storage behavior. The phase formation and structural retention of the active material were examined using X-ray diffraction, while elemental mapping …
