A Comprehensive Review on Premature Hair Graying: Factor Contributing, Pathogenesis, Prevention Strategies, and Natural Therapeutic
Abstract: Premature graying of hair (PGH), also known as early canities, is an increasingly common dermatological concern characterized by the loss of natural hair pigmentation before the expected age. Hair color is primarily determined by the quantity and type of melanin synthesized by melanocytes within the hair follicle. Disruption in melanocyte function, survival, or melanin synthesis leads to hair graying. Multiple intrinsic and extrinsic factors contribute to PGH, including genetic predisposition, …

Curvularia spp. and Curvularia Infections: A Comprehensive Review
Abstract: Curvularia spp., dematiaceous (melanin-pigmented) fungi in the family Pleosporaceae, emerge as opportunistic pathogens that cause phaeohyphomycosis, allergic fungal rhinosinusitis, and keratitis. This review dissects their pathogenesis via melanized cell walls, conferring tissue invasion, protease secretion, and immune evasion in immunocompromised hosts. Clinical manifestations span cutaneous (70%), sinopulmonary (20%), disseminated (5-10%), and CNS forms, mimicking aspergillosis or mucormycosis. Laboratory diagnosis hinges on histopathology (irregular septate hyphae, 3-8 µm, brown on Fontana-Masson), …

Validation of Caratol E Tablet for its Melanogenesis Effect—In Vitro Study
Abstract: Vitiligo is a skin disorder characterized by pale patches due to lack of melanin. Lack of melanin may be due to reduced melanogenesis, lack of melanocytes and decreased tyrosinase activity. In the present study, Caratol E tablet was evaluated for its melanogenesis effect. Melanocytes viability was evaluated by MTT assay and tyrosinase assay. Caratol E tablet showed positive effect in increasing the melanogenesis. Results are discussed in the present paper. …

Understanding : Vitiligo A Skin Conditions Beyond Color
Abstract: Patches of skin that have lost their pigmentation are the hallmark of vitiligo, a chronic skin disorder. The afflicted skin patches turn white and typically have strong edges. Additionally, the skin's hair may turn white. There may also be issues with the inside of the mouth and nose. The rate at which skin conditions cause color loss is uncertain. When the cells that make melanin cease to function or die, …

A Case Study on the Efficacy of Sanshamana Chikitsa in Vitiligo (Shwitra)
Abstract: Background: Vitiligo (Shwitra), a pigmentary disorder characterized by the loss of melanocytes, the skin cells responsible for melanin production. This results in the appearance of white or depigmented patches on the skin, is interpreted in Ayurveda as a Tridoshaja condition primarily involving vitiation of Pitta and Rakta. Vitiligo poses a major psychological burden in addition to being a cosmetic issue due to its visible appearance and associated social stigma. Objective: …

Advanced Laser Technology for Curing Cancer Affected Melanoma-Cell
Abstract: In this paper we report the results about the study and experimental usage of a cancer curing laser equipment. Cancer can be detected using laser induced ultrasound .This device could scan a lymph node biopsy with laser pulses, whereby the pigment of melanin which is present in each and every cells reacts to the laser's beam, absorbing the light, and heating and cooling rapidly. This produces a popping sound that's …
