Effect of Particle Size of Sand on the Interface Shear Behavior of Sand and Non-Woven Geotextile
Abstract: Soil-geosynthetic interface is the weakest zone for shear failure. It is influenced by size, shape, density and water content of sand. It is also influenced by the properties of geosynthetic such as texture and structure. This paper explores the influence of the size of sand on the behavior of sand-geotextile interface. Three types of sands namely coarse, medium and fine sand and non-woven geotextile were used in this study. Several …

Emissivity and Dielectric Behavior of Red Soils of Dhule District at X-band Microwave Frequencies
Abstract: Using X-band (8.2 and 10.5GHz) experimentation, the fluctuation of the dielectric constant (ε’) and dielectric loss (ε’’) of soil samples with different moisture contents has been determined. After reaching a transition point, the value of (ε') grows gradually with moisture content before increasing quickly after that. The emissivity has been estimated from experimentally determined (ε’) using emissivity model for vertical polarization. The findings indicate that as MC/dielectric constant increases, emissivity …

An Overview of Poroperm Relationship in the Recognition of Heterogeneity in Petroleum Reservoirs
Abstract: Reservoir heterogeneity is comprehended on different scales based on vertical and lateral variations in the hydrocarbon bearing sedimentary sequences. The two depositional systems, Sand-shale and carbonate with complex patterns based on properties of rocks help in deciding quality of rocks, the most important being the porosity permeability relationship. The intricate relationship of these two parameters if discussed in connection with sampling depth gives better understanding of variations in vertical direction …

Image Preprocessing And Analysis On Eye Fundus Images Segmentation By Using Density Clustering Methods
Abstract: Abstract: In order to do an automated evaluation of various retinal illnesses such as Diabetic retinopathy, Glaucoma, and Macular Edema, fundus images must be pre-processed first. For many reasons, it's difficult to accurately detect the optic disc. Many blood vessels cross the optic disc, making it difficult to discern the disc's boundaries in fundus images. Lesion regions in diabetic retinopathy look very much like an optic disc's colour and texture, …

Evolving Perspectives: Innovations in Object Detection and Identification
Abstract: One of the most important developments in computer vision has been the creation of object detection and identification systems, which have allowed robots to perceive and understand visual data similarly to humans. These systems locate each object by drawing a bounding box around it, in addition to detecting and classifying every object in an image or video. This study suggests a novel method for item identification and detection that makes …

Feasibility Studies of Engineering Properties of Coarse Aggregates from Demolition Waste and Natural Aggregates for Road Construction
Abstract: Construction and Demolition (C&D) waste constitutes a major portion of total solid waste origination in the world and most of it is used in landfills. The disposal of this construction and demolition waste is becoming a major concern as it is disposed unscientifically in India. The C&D waste is usually dumped on the sides of canals, minor roads and at the entrance of the cities and towns. This causes environmental …

Inpainting an Image based on Enhanced Resolution
Abstract: AbstractInpainting is the measure of reconstructing damaged parts of images. The main goal of inpainting is to remove unwanted objects from images and fill this region with the background. At first a part of the input image is inpainted by a non-parametric patch sampling. The inpainted part of the input image allows reducing the computational complexity and less sensitive to noise. The advantage is it is easier to inpaint low …
