Design and Simulation of Low-power, High-speed Effective Area Mux Based One-bit Full Adder Using CMOS Technology
Abstract: Our findings reveal a novel kind of circuit capable of performing both XOR and XNOR operations in parallel. Power dissipation and delay are both greatly reduced in the proposed circuits due to their low output capacitance as well as minimal short-circuit power dissipation. We show six new hybrid 1-bit full-adder (FA) circuits that take use of the XOR-XNOR or XOR/XNOR gates' special full-swing function. Each potential circuit layout has both …

The Role of Symmetry in Topological Insulators and Superconductors
Abstract: Topological insulators and superconductors constitute a class of quantum materials characterized by insulating bulks and symmetry-protected conducting boundaries. Symmetry principles, notably time-reversal (TRS), particle-hole (PHS), and chiral symmetry, play a fundamental role in determining the topological phases and their classification within the Altland-Zirnbauer scheme. TRS protects gapless surface states in topological insulators, while PHS stabilizes Majorana modes in topological superconductors. Symmetry-protected topology extends this framework by considering partial symmetry breaking, …

Environmental Pollutants and Biodiversity Loss: Analyzing the Role of Persistent Organic Pollutants in Ecosystem Decline
Abstract: Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) significantly impact biodiversity, with various factors influencing their effects on species and ecosystems. Species in poor body condition, like carnivores and predators, are more vulnerable to POPs due to weakened immune systems and reduced detoxification abilities. Dietary habits also affect the accumulation of POPs, as chemicals biomagnify up the food chain. Carnivores accumulate higher concentrations, leading to reproductive failures, hormonal imbalances, and death, while herbivores face …

Performance Analysis of Schmitt Trigger Circuit for Noise-Free Chips
Abstract: At lower nodes of complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) technology, noise within a chip increase due to a drastic increment in interconnects within a given area. To improve the noise immunity of a chip, a Schmitt trigger circuit is used as a buffer instead of a simple CMOS inverter at various intervals along the metal interconnect. The use of a Schmitt trigger circuit not only makes the chip noise immune but …
