Abstract: Topological insulators and superconductors constitute a class of quantum materials characterized by insulating bulks and symmetry-protected conducting boundaries. Symmetry principles, notably time-reversal (TRS), particle-hole (PHS), and chiral symmetry, play a fundamental role in determining the topological phases and their classification within the Altland-Zirnbauer scheme. Waste Minimization in Cumene Production Process
Abstract: This study deals with waste minimization in cumene production process using WAR (Waste Reduction Algorithm). Initially cumene production process is designed using ASPEN PLUS V8.8 chemical process simulator. Using WAR algorithm PEI’s (Potential Environmental Impacts) are calculated. Based on the PEI values process modifications are suggested to minimize the PEI’s. The modified process is eco-friendly by reducing the waste by 29.9%.
