Evaluation of Mechanical Properties of Arecanut Fiber Reinforced Epoxy Composite
Abstract: This study investigates the mechanical performance of arecanut fiber-reinforced epoxy composites, aiming to evaluate their potential for sustainable industrial applications. Arecanut husk fibers, an agricultural waste product, were selected for their natural abundance and biodegradability. To enhance fiber-matrix bonding, the fibers were chemically treated with sodium hydroxide (NaOH), which effectively removes lignin, hemicellulose, and other impurities, improving surface roughness and interfacial adhesion. The treated fibers were then incorporated into an …

Bioinspired Nanocomposite Bone Pins: Fabrication, Evaluation, and Suitability for Orthopedic Implant Applications
Abstract: Bone tissue engineering (BTE) requires scaffolds that mimic bone’s mineral–organic composition, offering mechanical strength, bioactivity, and degradation rates compatible with regeneration. Conventional metallic implants face corrosion and toxic ion release risks, while ceramics like hydroxyapatite (HAp) are bioactive but brittle. This study reports a multifunctional hybrid scaffold combining HAp for osteoconductivity; polycaprolactone (PCL) and collagen for flexibility and biocompatibility with sodium citrate for nanoparticle dispersion, ferrocene (Fc) for catalytic bioactivity; …

Synthesis, Characterization of New Imidazolidin-4-One Containing Azo Compound Derived from Acetylacetone as Antibacterial and Antioxidant Agents
Abstract: In the present study, new derivatives of imidazolidine-4-one was prepared. Which involved reactions to diazonium salt of o-methoxy aniline with acetylacetone in the presence of sodium hydroxide, and isolating the azo compound as a brown precipitate. The azo diketone reacts efficiently with aromatic amine derivatives to produce Schiff bases as a light yellow and dark brown precipitates, and from this Schiff bases three derivatives of imidazolidine-4-one was prepared by reacting …

Exploration of Diverse Epoxy-Based Surface Coating Methods for Enhancing Anticorrosion Characteristics
Abstract: Epoxy-based polymers, commonly referred to as polyepoxides, constitute one of the most versatile and widely adopted categories of polymeric materials due to their exceptional structural, mechanical, and chemical characteristics. Their unique macromolecular framework enables strong interfacial bonding, high mechanical stability, and superior resistance to environmental and chemical degradation, positioning them as advanced alternatives to many traditional organic corrosion inhibitors that often fail under prolonged exposure to aggressive conditions When polyepoxides …

SGLT2 Inhibitors in Heart Failure and Chronic Kidney Disease: Expanding Therapeutic Horizons beyond Glycemic Control
Abstract: Heart failure (HF) and chronic kidney disease (CKD) are closely related clinical diseases that significantly increase morbidity and death worldwide. The co-occurrence of both conditions is frequently referred to as the "cardio-renal syndrome," in which the failure of one organ hastens the decline of the other. The original purpose of sodium–glucose cotransporter-2 (SGLT2) inhibitors was to treat type 2 diabetic mellitus (T2DM) by reducing blood sugar levels. Nevertheless, new data …

Application of Natural and Synthetic Polymer-Based Disintegrants in the Design of Fast Dissolving Cefuroxime Axetil Tablet Composites
Abstract: The current paper examines how natural and synthetic polymer-based disintegrants can be used to design fast-soluble types of tablet composites. A model drug was chosen and tablets were prepared by the direct compression method using different polymeric excipients, such as guar gum, locust bean gum, sodium starch glycolate (SSG) and cross povidone. Eight formulations were prepared and tested on the basis of critical material and performance characteristics including thickness, hardness, …

Emerging Trends in Horticultural Crops: Role of Date Fruit in Promoting Urinary and Kidney Health
Abstract: Dates, or Phoenix dactylifera L., have been widely consumed in different cultures, both as a food source and for their health benefits. Whereas dates have been reported extensively to improve cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, and metabolic function, their role in urinary tract and renal health has received lesser attention in mainstream nutritional sciences. This review systematically evaluates and synthesizes the current literature on the potential effects of dates to promote urinary health …

Effect of Barium Sulphate on Mechanical Properties of Woven Aloe Vera/Flax Reinforced Epoxy Composites
Abstract: Natural fiber-reinforced composites are becoming popular because of their lightweight, eco-friendly, and sustainable nature. Nevertheless, single-fiber composites tend to exhibit poor mechanical performance. This research paper has created a hybrid composite bonded with woven Aloe vera and flax reinforced with an epoxy bond. Barium sulphate (BaSO4) filler was added to further improve the properties. The fibers were subjected to sodium hydroxide (NaOH) to enhance bonding with the matrix and the …

Upgrading Nutritive Value of Rice Straw: Processing, Supplementation, and Agronomic Innovations for Improved Utilization
Abstract: Rice straw, a major byproduct of rice production, holds significant potential as a livestock feed but is constrained by its high lignocellulosic content, low crude protein, and poor digestibility. Enhancing its nutritive value is imperative for sustainable livestock production. This study explores a range of innovative strategies aimed at improving rice straw’s digestibility and overall nutritional quality. Physical processing techniques, including chopping, grinding, soaking, and steam treatment, enhance its surface …

Review on the Effects of Chemical Compounds Toxicity on Workers in Chemical Laboratories.
Abstract: Chemical laboratories are considered high-risk work environments due to the wide range of chemicals that workers handle, which may be toxic, corrosive, or flammable. Improper handling of these substances can lead to serious health problems, ranging from mild irritation to death in cases of exposure to chemical compounds such as phenols and amines, which cause various types of lung and laryngeal cancers and respiratory diseases in laboratory workers who are …

Optimized Utilization of Kota Stone Slurry Waste in Fly Ash–Based Geopolymer Mortar: A Taguchi-Driven Approach
Abstract: The large-scale generation of stone-processing wastes presents a critical sustainability challenge and an opportunity for value-added reuse in construction materials. This study develops a high-performance fly ash geopolymer mortar by partially replacing Class F fly ash with Kota stone slurry waste (KSSW) and optimizing the key mix parameters using a Taguchi design framework. Five governing factors—binder replacement level, NaOH molarity, sodium silicate–to–sodium hydroxide ratio (SS/SH), curing temperature, and alkaline solution-to-binder …

Bridging Traditional Ayurvedic Pedagogy and Competency-Based Education: A Contemporary Perspective
Abstract: Mentoring plays a pivotal part in education. It has deep roots in both the traditional practitioner- Shishya Parampara of Ayurveda and ultramodern faculty- grounded medical education. The National Medical Commission and the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine have stated that structured mentorship programs are essential to guide scholars from newcomers to interpreters. This composition looks at how these traditions connect. It explains the purpose and limits of mentoring. …
