VRGE Process an Alternative for Conventional Hydraulic Fracturing
Abstract: Abstract Hydraulic Fracture is the name frequently heard now a day in oil and gas Industry especially in exploiting shale gas Reserves. Hydraulic fracturing fluid is made up of water, sand, and chemicals. In this process a high-pressure fluid (usually chemicals and sand suspended in water) will be pumped with high pressure into the oil and gas bearing zone where it create fractures and increase the permeability of the formation. …

Control System for Power Saving and Dual Mode Operation of the Escalator: A Microcontroller Approach
Abstract: An escalator is a moving flight of steps—a conveyor transportation device to haul public between floors of a building consisting of a motor-driven chain of steps to haul up and down on tracks. It allows the step treads to remain flat to earth surface. The establishment and operation of escalators requires large space and consumes substantial amount of power. The escalator used in public spaces runs idle wasting power, a …

Structural and Optical Properties of Porous Anodic Alumina Annealed at Different Temperatures
Abstract: We report the structural and optical properties of porous anodic alumina (PAA) membranes synthesized using anodization technique, which were subsequently annealed at various temperatures up to 1000°C. The influence of annealing temperature on the structural aspects and photoluminescence (PL) properties of PAA was investigated. XRD analysis of the PAA confirmed the amorphous nature of the synthesized PAA membranes. The structural transition of the annealed templates from amorphous to ɣ-Al2O3 was …

Effect of Quercetin against MES and PTZ-Induced Convulsions in Wistar Rats
Abstract: Besides its anti-oxidative effect, quercetin has shown to exert wide range of pharmacological effects. However, there is no experimental study on antiepileptic potential of quercetin. Hence, in the current study, the possible antiepileptic effect of quercetin has been evaluated against maximal electroshock seizure (MES) and PTZ-induced convulsions. Generalized tonic-clonic seizures are induced by applying current (150 mA, 0.2 s) through corneal electrodes using electroconvulsiometer. Absence seizures were induced by a …

Implementation of Variable Random Data Generator
Abstract: Main objective of this paper is to design a hardware model for variable Random data generator module. The random generator module is designed based on the principle of LFSR (linear feedback shift registers). A LFSR is a shift register whose input bit is a linear function of its previous state. The register has a finite number of possible states; it must eventually enter a repeating cycle. However, an LFSR with …

Design of Air Cushion Vehicle
Abstract: AbstractIn this research we made an attempt to design a hovercraft vehicle. This vehicle is different from other conventional and terrestrial of this kind that uses the single directional control as rudder. Major consideration is that the hovercraft should weigh less than the conventional crafts. This design uses a double duct motor for both the lift and thrust moments. The air is continuously forced under the vehicle by a fan, …

A Novel Protease Identified in the Latex of Ficus longifolia
Abstract: AbstractA proteolytic enzyme has been extracted from the latex of the plant Ficus longifolia. The optimum pH and temperature for the activity of the enzyme have been determined as 9 and 70°C respectively. It was activated by cysteine and β-mercaptoethanol. Its activity was inhibited strongly and reversibly by PCMB (Para Chloro Mercury Benzoate), which revealed that the latex protease is a cysteine protease. It is a novel plant latex protease. Keywords: …
