Abstract: Introduction: Colonic dialysis (CD) has been proposed as an appropriate candidate for excretion of electrolytes, nitrogen waste products and excessive fluid using gastrointestinal (GI) tract. Methods: The GI environment simulated in terms of concentrations of nitrogenous waste products, electrolytes, temperature and pressure.
