Treatment of Malunited Fracture of the First Metacarpal Base with a Comorbidity of Diabetes by Medical Therapy and Miniplate Fixation: A Case Report
Abstract: Even though every malunited hand fracture requires no intervention, malunion deformities including rotational malalignment and angulation can cause weakness of grasp and pinch. In addition, diabetes mellitus, a general factor of an infection, is an important illness which should be taken into account before undertaking reconstruction. Therefore, malunited fracture of the first metacarpal concomitant with diabetes may pose as a challenging problem, which includes various considerations such as indications, fixation …

Effect of Diabetes Mellitus on Hearing
Abstract: Jordao (1857) was the first to report sensorineural hearing loss in patients with diabetes mellitus. Jannulis and Delijan [1] were the first otologists who carried out hearing tests in diabetics and concluded that these patients suffered from progressive bilateral sensorineural deafness of gradual onset which predominantly affects higher frequencies in elderly subjects. The objective was to identify type of hearing loss, comparison of duration of diabetes and relation of HbA1c …

Performance Analysis of Fe/SiO2/Fe MTJ and Ni/Al2O3/Ni MTJ-based Magnetoresistive Random Access Memories (MRAMs)
Abstract: This paper reports the first principle simulations of Fe/SiO2/Fe and Ni/Al2O3/Ni magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs). A performance analysis has been done based upon the device-level simulations of the two magnetic tunnel junctions followed by the circuit level simulations of magnetoresistive random access memory (MRAM) cell operating with the two MTJs respectively. From the device-level simulations, the two MTJs have been compared with regard to the bias dependence of TMR ratios, …

An Efficient Deep Learning Classifiers Algorithm for Examining Public Perception of Covid SOPs
Abstract: In December 2019, Wuhan, China, reported the first coronavirus case, confirming the current pandemic. Following that, it swept across the entire world. The leading cause of this disease is still unknown, though. Governments are emphasizing physical distance and wearing masks in public places. The people mostly ignore the safety SOPs, which results in a surge in infected people rates and a healthcare burden on the national economy. Through the identification …

Exploring the Relationship Between Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation and Waterhouse–Friderichsen Syndrome
Abstract: Waterhouse–Friderichsen syndrome was first identified as a distinct clinical entity by Little in 1901. He described four cases from his own observations and, after examining existing literature, identified eight additional cases that he considered previously unclassified. One case in his report may have involved purpura resulting from a different cause. The knowledge of this unusual disorder developed slowly from several significant clinical observations and case reports during the first two …

Residual Nonunion in a Case of Two and-a-half Year Old Child Congenital Pseudarthrosis of Ipsilateral Tibia and Fibula Treated by Intramedullary Fixation with K-Wire and Allogenic Cancellous Strut Graft: A Case Report
Abstract: The pseudarthrosis usually develops during the first two years of life; however, there are reports of cases in which fractures developed before birth and reports of late-onset pseudarthrosis. There is a strong association between congenital pseudarthrosis (CPT) and Type I neurofibromatosis. CPT develops in about 5.7% of patients with NF-I and 40% of patients with pseudarthrosis were found to have NF-I. Main pathology is hyperplasia of fibroblasts with the formation …

Chemical Synthesis, Spectral Characterization and Electrical Conductivity Behavior of Poly(2-Methoxyaniline-Co-2-Chloroaniline) and its CuO Nanocomposite and Polypropylene Glycol Blend
Abstract: AbstractCopolymerization of 2-chloro aniline and 2-methoxy aniline was achieved chemically by oxidative polymerization technique using ammonium persulphate as the oxidizing agent in acidic medium in the presence of sodium lauryl sulphate, an anionic surfactant. Copolymerization was also carried out in the absence of the surfactant to study the effect of surfactant on the thermal stability and electrical conductivity. The copolymer composite with CuO nano particles and blend with poly propylene …
