Mechanisms of Crystal Growth: From Spiral Steps to Surface Adhesion
Abstract: Crystal growth is a complex interplay between thermodynamic stability and kinetic processes, influenced heavily by the conditions under which crystallization occurs—particularly the degree of supersaturation. This abstract outline three principal regimes of solution-grown crystal growth: defect-driven, two-dimensional, and adhesive growth. At low supersaturation, growth is facilitated at surface defects, such as screw dislocations, where energy barriers to attachment are minimized. This results in the formation of spiraling steps that propagate …

Performance Evaluation of Green Walnut Husk Waste Extract for Inhibiting Aluminium 8088 Corrosion in Acidic Solution
Abstract: The cumulative call for environmental and supportable corrosion inhibitors has obsessed curiosity in exploiting plant-based agronomic surplus resources. Presented research work discovers the corrosion inhibition probable of green walnut husk extract(GWH)—a normal and plentiful agro-waste—on Aluminium 8088 alloy in an acidic medium. Aluminium 8088, however identified for its corrosion resistance, is vulnerable to squalor in highly acidic settings, affectation trials in several industrial claims. GWH extract act as an ecologically …

Design and Simulation of Micro-cantilever for MEMS Applications
Abstract: Micro-cantilevers belong to MEMS set of devices and are often used for detection of forces in micromechanical sensors (e.g., pressure sensors and accelerometers) and probe for force sensor to atomic force microscope used as transducers, transport mechanisms, relays, switches, resonators, etc. This paper presents as to how the displacement of micro-cantilever is affected by the load applied to the micro-cantilever. The effect of width change on the displacement of the …

Thermally Trigged Self-Healing Smart Shape Memory Polymer Composite
Abstract: Temperature-responsive self-actuating PU/MWCNTs composites were prepared with micro-compounder through in-situ polymerization. For making of 1CNTPU composite sample 1 part per hundred multiwall Carbone nanotubes (MWCNTs) were reinforced into the neat polyurethane (PU) base matrix. Surface characterizations for pure and composite have studying by using Atomic Force Microscope (AFM), high resolutions Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). Properties like shape recovery, storage modulus, loss modulus, tensile stress, degree of hardness, and flexural stress …

An eco-friendly synthesis of silver nanoparticles using Stoechospermum marginatum, its characterization and antioxidant study
Abstract: AbstractThe aqueous extract of marine brown seaweed, Stoechospermum marginatum was used for the green synthesis of silver nanoparticles. The silver nanoparticles were formed due to the bio-reduction of silver nitrate to aqueous silver ions in the presence of seaweed extract. The synthesized silver nanoparticles were characterized by UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR) Spectroscopyand Atomic Force Microscope (AFM).The synthesised silver nanoparticles have shown moderate antioxidant activity. This method of AgNPs …
