A Novel Design for Power Reduction in Arithmetic Circuits using MTCMOS Technology
Abstract: In CMOS logic circuits, the reduction in the threshold voltage due to voltage scaling leads to increase in the subthreshold leakage current and hence static power dissipation. Although power consumption is important for modern VLSI design, operation speed and occupied area are still the main requirements of the VLSI design. Multi threshold voltage CMOS (MTCMOS) technology is a good solution which provides a high performance and low-power design without any …

Testing the Efficiency of Background Subtraction Techniques
Abstract: In many video surveillance applications, for instance, detection of abandoned/stolen items or parked vehicles, the detection of desk-sure foreground items is an important task. In this work, we recommend the implementation of a green item detection algorithm that may be employed in actual time embedded devices because of its fast processing. The morphological approach is used for similarly processing to remove noise and to maintain the form of transferring object. …

Design and Verification of Low Power High Speed Voltage Level Shifter Based on Pass Transistor Methodology
Abstract: This study explains how a voltage level shifter (LS) can be built using a Wilson current mirror level shifter (WCMLS) with a mirrored output. The proposed fix avoids WCMLS's typical issue of requiring a mirror with a size ratio that is too large. It's a space- and cost-saver. The proposed LS requires less components than its modern versions and uses only tiny components, taking up even less space. The proposed …

Effect of Thickness in Electroluminescence Spectra on 2-5 Dialoxy-PPV (ROPPV) Films
Abstract: The optical properties and electroluminescence (EL) of ROPPV (2-5-dialoxy-PPV) films of various thicknesses have been studied. The thickness of ROPPV layer on glass slide was measured by Fizeau fringes interferometric technique which varied from 200 to 400 nm. The absorption spectra show that the absorption occurred only in ultraviolet region. Thick films show only one peak at 310 nm, whereas by decreasing the thickness, the peaks are obtained at lower …

Influence of Dielectric and Active layer Thickness on MgZnO Thin Film Transistor Electrical Characteristics
Abstract: From last decades, Thin Film Transistors Technology uses low-k dielectric material as an insulator. Insulator thickness plays an important role in device dimension. The insulating layer also known as the gate oxide separates the gate electrode from the channel region of the transistor. If the insulating layer is too thin, there is a greater chance that electrons can tunnel through the oxide layer, leading to leakage current. To mitigate this …

The Evaluation of the Light Parameters and Pleural Fluid Cholesterol to Determine the Differences Between Exudative and Transudative Pleural Discharge
Abstract: Background: Pleural effusion occurs when an imbalance between pleural fluid production and absorption leads to the accumulation of excess fluid in the pleural cavity. Pleural effusions are commonly classified into two types: transudative or exudative, depending on the underlying mechanism of fluid formation. While transudates typically result from systemic factors like heart failure or liver cirrhosis, exudates are usually caused by local factors such as infection, malignancy, or inflammation. Differentiating …
