Composite Gel-Fibers and Solid-State-Processed Tapes Based on Disentangled Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene and Electrically Conductive Carbon Black: a Comparative Study
Abstract: In this study, oriented nanocomposite gel-spun fibers and solid-state-processed tapes were manufactured and analyzed. The fibers and tapes were produced using a specific type of nascent disentangled ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) reactor powder. As the filler, commercially available electrically conductive carbon black (CB) was used. The ultra-high filler content values up to 75 wt.% were achieved for the UHMWPE/CB gel-spun fibers, while the degree of filling was limited (up …

A Futuristics Pyrolysis Technique: Conversion of Waste Plastic Polybags Into Fuel
Abstract: Plastics are high molecular weight materials composed of repeating polymer units and can be classified based on factors like chemical composition, structure, stiffness, application types, and processing methods. A key environmental issue with plastics is their non-biodegradability, causing them to persist in the environment. Pre-consumer plastic waste includes manufacturing defects, rejected items, and excess materials produced during virgin plastic manufacturing. In India, around 15,342 tons of plastic waste are collected …

Preparation, Spectral Characterization and Bio-Evaluation of Five and Seven Membered Ring Derivatives
Abstract: Many cyclic compounds are made of heterogeneous atoms that are good electron donors to be the basic nucleus in the basic structure of chemical drugs, so most drugs and vitamins take cyclic compounds as a basic material for the manufacture of drugs, and without a doubt these drugs are distinguished by their high ability to make many biologically active derivatives in the fields of biochemistry and clinical medicine. Universal studies …

Polymer–Gel Composite Phase Change Materials: A Functional Polymer Composite Approach for Solar-Thermal Energy Storage in Building Facades
Abstract: This study investigates polymer–composite phase change materials (PCMs) in the form of polymer–gel hybrids as multifunctional systems for solar–thermal energy storage in building façades. Paraffin- and PEG-based PCMs were embedded into polyurethane and acrylic gel matrices to create shape-stabilized polymer–composites with high PCM loading (70–80 wt%). Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) confirmed distinct melting/freezing transitions at ~56°C (paraffin) and ~42°C (PEG), with enthalpy values of 120–150 J/g, closely matching theoretical predictions, …

A Case Study of Demographic Profile of Tribals in Gondia District
Abstract: The Tribals for centuries lived in segregation and had constrained contact with other social orders. Social Researchers have examined broadly the Social, Social and Financial life of the Tribals. But small endeavor has been made to consider the tribals statistic circumstance. In later a long time in any case there's a developing stretch on considering population by locales, ethnic groups. Such studies will no doubt help the academicians and the …

Microstructural Design and Functional Properties of Polycrystalline Materials
Abstract: Polycrystalline materials, composed of an aggregate of crystallites or grains, are foundational to modern engineering applications due to their versatile functional properties. The microstructural design—encompassing grain size, shape, orientation, phase distribution, and grain boundary characteristics—plays a pivotal role in determining mechanical, thermal, electrical, and magnetic behavior. This abstract explores the intricate relationship between microstructure and functionality, emphasizing how tailored processing techniques such as thermomechanical treatments, sintering, and additive manufacturing can …

Smart Ways to Manage Waste with AI and IOT: A Review
Abstract: Rapid urban growth and population have led to exponential growth in municipal solid waste over traditional inefficient waste management systems (collection / segregation / disposal). This paper reviews the convergence of Internet-of- Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI), seen as two potential smart techniques to launch smarter waste management. The research reports important applications for AI and IoT in waste classification, waste collection optimization, waste-to-energy as well as smart bin …

Reimagining Solid Waste Management in India: A case of Circular approach in C&D Waste Management
Abstract: Construction and demolition (C&D) waste, which accounts for an estimated 150–500 MT yearly and about 10–20% of the nation's total municipal solid waste (MSW) generation, is a significant management challenge for India. Accelerated urbanization, population increase, infrastructural expansion, and urban redevelopment initiatives are the main causes of this quickly expanding waste stream. Much of this waste is disposed of through uncontrolled dumping, encroachment on low-lying areas, and overcrowded landfills in …
