Design of Solar Water Heater System
Abstract: This research paper studied about solar water heater with its construction and applications. If we see today’s scenario, the hot water uses are increasing day by day in industries as well as in domestic and commercial purposes. In the current era, we are using various resources like coal, petroleum products, electrical energy, etc. for heating the water. These resources are too expensive for heating the water. Solar power is the …

Design of Plasmonic Based Splitters for WDM Applications
Abstract: AbstractPlasmonics has special property of metallic nanostructures to allow manipulation and routing of light at nanoscale. In this paper, 1×2 and 1×4 splitters are designed using metal-insulator-metal (MIM) plasmonic waveguides. These proposed splitter designs could be used to conquer various filtering devices for high assimilation in surface plasmon polaritons based metallic surfaces. The results are verified using finite difference time domain (FDTD).Keywords: Plasmonics waveguides, surface plasmons, finite difference time domain …

Optimization of Power in SG-SOI Structure at 1550 nm for Nanophotonic Application
Abstract: AbstractOptical power of semiconductor grating silicon-on-insulator (SG-SOI) at 1550 nm is investigated in this paper. The power of SG-SOI structure is calculated using plane wave expansion (PWE) method. Simulation result reveals that optical power is more than 99.9% in all SG-SOI structure. Simulation result shows that suitable combinations of grating layers play vital role to obtain high optical power. Keywords: SG-SOI, PWE, power

Realization of Braggs Grating for SOI Application using PWE Method
Abstract: AbstractThis paper presents the optimization of reflectance in Braggs grating on silicon-on-insulator (SOI) structure at wavelength 1.55 μm using plane wave expansion method. It is seen that reflectance’s differ on different SOI structures. Simulation result reveals that polymer-air grating SOI structure having a period of 0.5 mm, grating length of 2 cm is matched with experimental results and it is found that better agreement than any other results in literature. Keywords: …

Effect of Tareeq (Sweating) in Waja-ul-Mafasil (WM) of Samane Mufrat (Overweight/Obesity)—A Study
Abstract: Samane Mufrat (obesity) occurs due to decrease in hararate ghareezia (innate heat). It is a chronic and increasingly common disease characterized by excess body fat. It is more prevalent in women because of their barid mizaj (cold temperament). The shaham wa sameen (fats) are barid ratab (cold wet), so they accumulate in barid mizaj individuals. As body mass index (BMI) values increase, joint pain symptoms and severity increase. Joint pain …

Effect of Glycemic Control on Sputum Conversion at the End of Intensive Phase of Category I DOTS Therapy among Patients with Pulmonary Tuberculosis
Abstract: India is an endemic country of tuberculosis and diabetic capital of the world. A patient with diabetes has more chance of occurrence tuberculosis. Many studies pointed out the merging epidemic of diabetes and tuberculosis. Rifampicin and Isoniazid are the most prominent drugs in anti-TB treatment. These drugs disrupt the metabolism of many anti-hypoglycemic agents and lower the plasma levels, leading to hypogycemia. In non-diabetics, it impairs the release and action …

Predicting diabetes status using ensemble algorithms with hyperparameter tuning
Abstract: Diabetes is a condition in which the body is unable to produce enough insulin to keep blood sugar levels under control. If diabetes is not properly identified and treated, it can lead to kidney failure, nerve damage, blindness, and coronary heart disease. A healthy lifestyle, therefore, depends on the early identification of diabetes diseases. However, it can be difficult to assess a person's diabetic status if they live in remote …

Smoking and Body Weight: Is There Any Relation?
Abstract: Tobacco is a tall, green leafy plant, originally grown in South and Central America, but now cultivated throughout the world. The link between smoking and body weight is evident as early as adolescence. Nicotine acts on nicotinic cholinergic receptors in the brain and autonomic ganglia. The binding of nicotine to the nicotinic receptors opens ion channels, allowing entry of sodium and calcium, thereby; augment the release of various neurotransmitters. This …
