Synthesis, Molecular Docking and Biological Evaluation of Novel Chlorobenzenesulfonamide Analogues of Ibuprofen as Anti-Bacterial, Anti-Diabetic and Anti-Alzheimer Agents
Abstract: In this work, we have synthesized novel chlorobenzensulfonamide tertiary amide based analogues of Ibuprofen (Ibu) and investigated them for their anti-bacterial, anti-diabetic and anti-Alzheimer activities. In the first step, Ibu was converted to amide derivatives by incorporating different aromatic amines. These were further converted into sulfonamide analogues (Sul-Ibu, 1-9) by treating it with p-chlorobenzensulfonyl chloride. Sul-Ibu (1-9) were screened against S. aureus, B. subtilis, S. mutans, E. coli, P. aeruginosa, …

Preparation and Evaluation of Herbal Gel Containing Multiple Plant Extracts for Acne Treatment
Abstract: A persistent inflammatory condition affecting the pilosebaceous unit, acne is caused by an increase in sebum production by sebaceous glands and an incorrect desquamation of hair follicles in response to rising testosterone levels throughout teenage years. Follicular obstruction results in follicular distention, which frequently triggers an inflammatory reaction and the growth of the Propionibacterium acnes bacteria. This project mainly focused on the formulation of a herbal gels for acne. These …

In-Silico Docking of Rubia cordifolia Phytocompounds as Potential MMP-2 Inhibitors for Varicose Vein Management
Abstract: Varicose veins are one of the most common disorders, affecting the vein structure and function of lower limbs, yet there has been no absolute cure found yet. One of the underlying causes for worsening of the condition is the proteolytic activity of MMPs which are a group of enzymes that affect the extracellular matrix (ECM) surrounding the affected veins. Phytocompounds of Rubia cordifolia (Manjishta) were docked against the MMP-2 protein …

Role of Fatigue and Creep in Structural Damage: A Comprehensive Review
Abstract: Fatigue and creep are two critical degradation mechanisms that significantly influence the structural integrity and longevity of engineering materials. These phenomena arise due to different loading and environmental conditions but often coexist in various industrial applications, leading to severe material degradation over time. Fatigue primarily results from cyclic loading, where repeated stress variations induce microstructural damage and crack initiation, ultimately causing catastrophic failure. Conversely, creep occurs under sustained stress at …

Enhancing Glaucoma Diagnosis with Deep Learning: A Study Using ResNet-50 and DenseNet-121
Abstract: Glaucoma is a leading cause of irreversible blindness worldwide, mainly resulting from progressive optic nerve damage, often related to elevated intraocular pressure. Early detection is essential to prevent vision loss, but traditional diagnostic methods rely on specialized equipment and trained professionals, making large-scale screening difficult. This study uses a publicly available fundus imaging dataset to explore the effectiveness of deep learning models for glaucoma detection. These datasets provide medical images, …

Post-Antibiotic Gut Microbiota Recovery in the Rumen: Insights into Colonization Patterns, Population Density, and Diversity Dynamics
Abstract: The post-antibiotic recovery of gut microbiota represents a critical area of research in understanding how microbial communities rebalance and re-establish homeostasis following antibiotic-induced disruptions. Antibiotics, while effective against infections, can cause substantial shifts in gut microbiota, leading to dysbiosis – a state of microbial imbalance that impairs gut health and functions. This recovery process involves multiple complex dynamics, including colonization patterns, population density, and the restoration of microbial diversity. The …

Needle Choice in Spinal Anaesthesia: Is the 25-Gauge Whitacre Superior to the Quincke in Reducing Post-Dural Puncture Headache
Abstract: The process known as endotracheal intubation involves inserting a synthetic tube into the trachea and inflating the former's cuff to create an airtight seal. Of all the specialised masks in the LMA family, the PLMA is the most intricate. The cuff, the airway tube, the drain (gastric access) tube, and the inflation line with pilot balloon are its four primary components. This drain tube aids in identifying mask malposition and …
