Switching in Bilinguals: Evidence from Forward and Backward Switching Tasks Across Visual and Auditory Modality
Abstract: Bilingualism refers to the use of two languages on a day-to-day basis. Defining bilingualism operationally is complex due to the heterogeneity associated with it. Proficiency in the second language can vary on an individual basis. Bilinguals can be classified as balanced or dominant, high proficient or low proficient based on the proficiency levels. The effect of bilingual proficiency on executive functions has been studied extensively. The current study explored the …

Enhancing Functional and Structural Properties of Advanced Materials through Scandium-based Nanostructures: Applications in Ceramics, Thermoelectrics, Memory Devices, and High-Strength Alloys
Abstract: This study explores the fabrication and properties of scandium-based nanostructured materials with applications in ceramics, glass, thermoelectric modules, switching devices, and strengthened alloys. Scandium oxide (Sc₂O₃) nanopowders were synthesized using precipitation techniques and subsequently sintered to create transparent ceramics with fine dispersion. Investigations into scandium-doped metallic glasses demonstrated enhanced plastic deformation, with notable tensile plasticity attributed to its unique nanoglass structure. A new scandium-doped thermoelectric material, ZnCdO, was also developed, …

Wireless Solar Charging Systems for Electric Vehicles: Technology, Design, and Implementation Challenges
Abstract: Higher standards for the ease, safety, and dependability of electric vehicle (EV) charging have been proposed in recent years due to the new energy sector's electrical vehicle (EV) rapid development. Inductive coupling is used for wireless power charging. Both stationary and dynamic situations can be used for inductive coupling. Low energy loss and reduced demands on the primary circuit are achieved by rearranging the transformer and changing the high frequency. …

Mystery of Grass milk: A Deeper Dive into Quality, Quantity and Economics of Grass-milk in Dairy Cows
Abstract: Consumers perceive ‘grass-fed milk’ as healthier than conventional ones since grass-fed milk contains higher levels of beneficial fatty acids and lower levels of omega-6. The study highlights the nutritional benefits of feeding green grass, in terms of quality, quantity, and farm economics emphasizing its specific influence on the fatty acid profile of milk, including enrichment of omega-3 fatty acids and conjugated linoleic acids. It also delves into the environmental benefits …
