Dispersion Analysis of Polypyrrole and ZnO Nanocomposite Thin Film using SPR Techniques
Abstract: The dispersion analysis of any material is crucial for studying its structure and composition. The interaction of the structure of the material with electromagnetic energy is also determined by studying its dielectric or optical properties. For studying dielectric properties, optical approaches are favored over electrical techniques, and Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) is the most suited of all techniques. It is used as a result to investigate the optical and dielectric …

Recent Advances in Smart Polymer Composites for Plant Health Monitoring: A Strategic Integration of Sensing Mechanisms and Computational Intelligence
Abstract: Plant health assessment is crucial for agricultural production and food security, as plant diseases significantly affect crop yields and quality. This paper reviews the applications of polymers and composite materials in the evaluation of plant health, focusing on both natural and artificial polymers, carbon materials, and polymeric–nanoparticle composite materials. Various types of sensing principles, such as colorimetry, fluorimetry, surface plasmon resonance (SPR), surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS), and interferometry, are …

Behavior of Surface Polaritons on Cylindrical Semiconducting Materials at Nanoscale with Radius Dependence Frequency
Abstract: Surface plasmon resonance (SPR) is a physical property of the surface to investigate the important properties of optical behaviors for nanomaterial and biomaterial. It involves the excitation of electrons within a thin metal sheet by incident light at a specific angle, prompting them to propagate parallel to the surface. This sensitivity to external factors, such as changes in the refractive index of the surrounding medium due to molecular adsorption, underscores …

Green Synthesis of Silver Nanoparticles: Antifungal Efficacy Against Aspergillus niger and Agricultural Benefits
Abstract: Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) are gaining significant attention in agriculture due to their potent antifungal properties. This study focuses on evaluating the antifungal effects of green synthesized AgNPs derived from Aloe vera leaf extract against the pathogenic fungus Aspergillus niger. The results indicate that the synthesized nanoparticles exhibited a strong absorption maximum at 550 nm, indicative of surface plasmon resonance. UV-Vis spectroscopy was used to analyze the nanoparticles, and the solution …

Beyond Conventional: Nanostructures as Key Enablers for Efficiency Enhancement in Thin Film Photovoltaics
Abstract: One of the key options for lowering the cost of photovoltaic production through the reduction ofactive material utilisation is thin-film solar cells. However, thin film solar cells' performance may beconstrained by low light absorption brought on by a low absorption coefficient or by an inadequatelythick active layer. Minimising expenses and increasing overall efficiency in thin-film solar cells needimproving light absorption that can be converted into electrical power. As a result, …

Chlorophyll-Mimicking Ti₃C₂Tₓ MXene-Conjugated Polymer Nanocomposites: Nature-Inspired Exciton Funneling Architecture for Ultrahigh Photon-to-Electron Conversion in Organic Solar Cells
Abstract: Green plant photosynthetic machinery is one of the most efficient natural systems for harvesting solar energy and converting it into useable electronic charge. Specifically, chlorophyll molecules in the Light-Harvesting Complex II (LHC-II) achieve nearly unity quantum yield via a well-organized Förster Resonance Energy Transfer (FRET) mechanism that enables excitons to migrate towards reaction centers. This study presents a bio-inspired nanocomposite architecture using two-dimensional Ti₃C₂Tₓ MXene nanosheets functionalized with chlorophyll-mimicking porphyrin …
