Formulation And Evaluation of Domperidone Medicated Jelly Using Solvent Deposition Method For Solubility Enhancement
Abstract: Objective: The purpose of this study is to develop and characterize medicated jelly of Domperidone. Domperidone is associated with poor aqueous solubility and dissolution rate and thus exhibit a poor bioavailability. Solvent deposition is a promising method to improve the solubility of poor water soluble drugs. Methods: Solvent depositions were prepared for optimization and evaluated for percentage drug content, invitro dissolution, solubility analysis. Optimization of Domperidone solvent deposition was done using …

Enhancement of Bioavailability of Clopidogrel Using Different Solubility Enhancement Techniques
Abstract: Bioavailability is the key determinant of a drug for its therapeutic effectiveness, which in turn depends upon the solubility of that drug in gastro intestinal fluid. Clopidogrel is a BCS class II drug. Drugs of this category have low solubility and high permeability, so their bioavailability is less. This can be overcome by doing pharmaceutic modifications on it. In the present study, three different modifications, namely, complexation, solvent deposition and …

Bio Solvent EOR: Performance Assessment of Plant Extracts as Asphaltene Inhibitor
Abstract: Changes in pressure and temperature during oil production and transportation most notably during CO2 injection for enhanced recovery could lead to changes in the oil composition and deposition of asphaltene. Deposition of asphaltene near the wellbore region, production tubing and production facilities could cause severe flow assurance problem. Physical removal of asphaltene is costly and in most cases it is not preferred. A more favorable option is to prevent the …

Structural Optimization of FDM-Processed ASA Polymer Frames through Acetone Solvent Welding, Variable Infill Strategy, and Layer Orientation: Experimental Validation via Quadcopter Flight Testing
Abstract: Acrylonitrile styrene acrylate (ASA) is an amorphous terpolymer with superior UV resistance compared to acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), as its acrylate rubber phase lacks photodegradation-prone carbon–carbon double bonds. This study proposes acetone solvent welding as a polymer joining method to produce monolithic structures from FDM-processed ASA components, addressing three processing challenges: achieving structural continuity through polymer chain interdiffusion at solvent-wetted interfaces, correcting thermal warping via post-print geometric correction during welding, …

Post-Treatment Methods in Additive Manufacturing: A Review of Mechanical, Thermal, Chemical, and Hybrid Approaches
Abstract: Additive manufacturing, particularly Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM), has become a cornerstone of rapid prototyping and functional part production due to its accessibility and material versatility. However, the inherent layer-by-layer nature of FDM introduces surface roughness, reduced mechanical strength, and anisotropic behavior, which limit its industrial applications. This literature review investigates the impact of chemical post-processing treatments such as solvent vapor smoothing, immersion, and hybrid chemical-thermal methods on the surface quality …

Selection and Preparation of Solvent for Wax Dissolution in Heavy Crude Oil Wells
Abstract: Remedial measures for wax deposition problems in production wells are very hectic due to production down time and expenditure required for removal of heavy and waxy crude oil. Chemical treatment techniques with solvent formulation derived from many laboratory experiments were carried out with the waxy crude oil sample to recover the solidified wax inside the pipelines and wellbores. A list of chemical solvents including three dispersants was mixed in different …

A Study of Nature Based Dye with Different Extracting Solvents as a Sensitizer for Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells
Abstract: In this paper, natural dye extracts were used as a sensitizer for Dye Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC). The natural dye was extracted from Lantana camara leaf, flower and Clitoria ternatea flower using ethanol and acidified ethanol (in 1% HCl) as extracting solvent. The DSSCs have been fabricated using pure TiO2 and Ni doped TiO2 layers as photoanodes deposited by Doctor Blade method on fluorine doped Tin Oxide (FTO) glass substrate …

Synthesis and Functional Group Analysis of Solution Processed Zinc Oxide Thin Film Grown on Polyethylene Terephthalate
Abstract: Flexible electronics field is growing every day. Existing technology is facing issues like brittleness, toxicity, inadequacy. Fabrication cost increases in processing of such materials. In this work, zinc oxide nanoparticles synthesized by solution processing technique were used to grow 120nm thick thin film (TF) on Polyethylene terephthalate (PET). This method reduces the processing cost and Zinc Oxide (ZnO) is cheaper and abundant in comparison to other semiconductors option. Material was …

Mechanisms of Crystal Growth: From Spiral Steps to Surface Adhesion
Abstract: Crystal growth is a complex interplay between thermodynamic stability and kinetic processes, influenced heavily by the conditions under which crystallization occurs—particularly the degree of supersaturation. This abstract outline three principal regimes of solution-grown crystal growth: defect-driven, two-dimensional, and adhesive growth. At low supersaturation, growth is facilitated at surface defects, such as screw dislocations, where energy barriers to attachment are minimized. This results in the formation of spiraling steps that propagate …
