The Effect of Rare Earth (RE) Metal Doping of Zno, On Magnetic and Optical Properties of Zno Crystals Structure
Abstract: The magnetic and optical properties of magnetic semiconductors relays on the crystal structure, type and amount of dopant ions, and particle size. Then, the effect of rare earth metal (Dy, Eu, and La) doping on crystal structures, magnetic properties and optical properties are seen. It is revealed that the optical band gap of ZnO decrease down from 3.37eV up on doping with RE metals. Then, the Hamiltonian of the system …

Green Synthesis and Evaluation of Electronic and Optical Properties of CdS/CdTe Quantum Dots
Abstract: The CdS/CdTe quantum dots (QDs), with altered concentrations of CdS, were synthesized using straightforward precursors through an environmentally friendly green method. The synthesized quantum dots were characterization by UV–visible absorption spectroscopy, Photoluminescence (PL), and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) to understand their electronic and structural properties. The average particle size is nearly consistent with the values derived from Brus's formula. The UV–visible spectra show a blueshift compared with pure sample, …

Nanostructure-Induced Thermoelectric Enhancement in Bi₂Te₃ Nanorods Design, Analysis, and Performance Evaluation
Abstract: Thermoelectric materials capable of efficient energy conversion near room temperature are critical for waste heat recovery applications. In this work, solution-grown Bi₂Te₃ nanorods were synthesized via a trioctylphosphine-assisted thermal decomposition route, and the influence of surfactant-induced nanostructuring on their thermoelectric properties was systematically investigated. Structural analysis using X-ray diffraction and Rietveld refinement confirmed the formation of rhombohedral Bi₂Te₃ with the emergence of Bi₂Te₃–BiTe nanocomposites at higher surfactant concentrations. Electron microscopy …

Unravelling the Influence of Dimensions on the Thermoelectric Properties of AHEGNR
Abstract: The thermoelectric properties of hydrogenated edge semiconductor graphene nanoribbons (GNRs) have thus far been explored in detail. The effects of varying the sizes of zigzag hydrogenated edge graphene nanoribbons (ZHEGNRs) and armchair hydrogenated edge graphene nanoribbons (AHEGNRs) in terms of their properties were investigated in this study. This was achieved via the control of the graphene nanoribbon dimensions i.e., width and length by utilizing density functional theory in Quantum Espresso, …
