Modeling of Maximum Power Point Tracking Controllers for Wind Generation System using Hill Climb Searching Technique
Abstract: In this paper, based on a low-cost, small-scale application, presents a Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) controller for wind generation systems (WGS). The Hill Climb Search approach served as the foundation for the development of the MPPT algorithm. To account for the inertia of wind turbines, an enhanced hill-climb searching approach has been created as a fundamental component of the max-power extraction algorithm. Under varying wind conditions, the generator can …

Some Creep-Rupture Data Analytics as Applied to AISI 310S Superalloy Austenitic Stainless Steel Sheets at Elevated Temperatures and High Applied Stresses
Abstract: Creep-rupture of AISI 301S stainless steel is analyzed at 973-1073K and 40-150MPa. Various creep curves and creep rate curves are compared to understand the effect of temperature and applied load. Creep deformation and creep fracture mechanisms are manipulated from concerned mechanism maps. Creep deformation follows high temperature climb. Creep activation energy so obtained is 345KJ/mol. It is larger than activation energy for self-diffusion in pure FCC iron (that is 270-311kJ/mol). …

Yield Loss Assessment in Common Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) due to Ascochyta Blight (Phoma exigua var. diversispora (Bubak) Boerema) Disease
Abstract: Ascochyta blight (Phoma exigua var. diversispora (Bubak) Boerema) causes a severe, rapidly developing disease on common beans (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) that can bring about complete plant defoliation and extensive yield loss. Studies were conducted in Rwanda to quantify the yield loss attributed to bean ascochyta blight on 64 common bean genotypes including bush and climbing. Using a split plot design, trials were conducted at three locations, where ascochyta disease is …

A Review of Embodied Energy Strategies to reduce the carbon emissions in Sustainable Buildings
Abstract: Buildings in India account for almost one-fifth of the nation's carbon emissions, making it the third- largest carbon emitter globally. These emissions are expected to climb by 50% over the next 20 years, which is the biggest increase of any nation. You would have to go into a jungle to avoid concrete, steel, and aluminium since they are so common. Just these three substances are responsible for 23% of the …

Maximum Power Point Tracking Using PSO with Boost Converter
Abstract: Maximum power point tracking methods are used for extraction of maximum power from solar PV panels. The characteristics of non-line panel hinder the power output from the solar panel. Earlier proposed methods like hill climbing, incremental conductance suffer from steady state and lower efficiency. This proposed evolutionary computation technique assures nearly zero steady state oscillation and faster convergence of tracking maximum power. The PSO algorithm is tested on a DC-DC …
