Benchmarking Cost Overruns in Transportation Infrastructure Investments
Abstract: Highway projects have historically experienced significant cost overruns, with front end implications for the sustainability of transportation investments. However, the criteria for assessing cost overruns continues to elicit diverse opinions and has become a debatable issue in the literature. Some studies allude to detailed design stage estimates, while others tag conceptual stage estimates, as the ideal benchmark for quantifying the project cost deviations. A survey of the literature, principally from …

CMC/SWCNT Nanocomposites for Sustainable Smart Metering Sensors: Percolation-Driven Structure–Property Optimization, Experimental Validation, and Literature Benchmarking
Abstract: Biodegradable sensing materials are needed for sustainable smart electricity metering, yet cellulose/single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) systems lack a unified percolation and structure–property description. This study develops carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC)/SWCNT nanocomposite films by solution casting, with SWCNT loadings of 0.0–5.0 wt%, and evaluates their electrical, mechanical, thermal, sensing, and biodegradation behavior. Percolation analysis of the insulator-to-conductor transition gave a critical threshold (φc) of 0.9 ± 0.1 wt% and a critical exponent …

TRACE: Tracking the Loss of Memory Provenance in LLM Agents
Abstract: AI agents that carry memory across sessions gain better personalization and decision-making, but this persistence opens a serious security gap. When an agent repeatedly condenses earlier interactions into compact “lessons,” the trail linking each lesson back to the interaction that produced it gradually fades. We term this effect Reflective Attribution Collapse (RAC): the progressive loss of provenance and forensic traceability that results from repeated memory reflection. Under RAC, a malicious …

Project Performance Appraisal using PQR: A Review
Abstract: The success of a construction project can be indicated by project performance. The concept of project performance has not been clearly defined in the construction industry. Project performance appraisal is usually quantified by performance metrics. To measure performance we need to identify performance metrics. With reference to performance metrics benchmarking of project is done. In literature, while usual performance metrics such as time, cost, quality, client satisfaction etc. are considered …

Memory Reclamation Behavior Under cgroups v2 Versus Legacy cgroups: A Measurement Framework for Containerized Workloads
Abstract: Linux control groups (cgroups) are the kernel mechanism that lets container runtimes such as Docker, containerd, and CRI-O enforce per-container CPU, memory, and I/O limits, and the transition from the legacy cgroups v1 hierarchy to the unified cgroups v2 hierarchy changed several aspects of how the memory controller signals and responds to reclaim pressure most notably through the introduction of memory.low/memory.high soft-limit semantics and system-wide Pressure Stall Information (PSI). Kernel …
