Zebra Fish Embryo Assay: A Wonderful Tool for Ecotoxicological Risk Assessment with Special Reference to Heavy Metals - An Overview
Abstract: In recent years, environmental pollution has become a pressing concern, prompting extensive research in aquatic ecotoxicology. With environmental degradation getting worse day by day, ecotoxicology research has gained a lot of attention. This area of study examines how biological communities in aquatic environments are affected by environmental contaminants. To unravel the toxicological mechanisms of these exogenous compounds, scientists turn to biological models. Several aquatic species, including zebrafish, toads, and big …

Evaluation Of Anti Obesity Activity Of Citrus Sinensis & Citrus Limon By High Fat Diet Induced Model Using Danio Rerio
Abstract: Obesity, defined by the World Health Organization (WHO) as an abnormal or excessive fat accumulation that may impair health, is becoming one of the greatest challenges to global health in this millennium, with more than 300 million men and nearly 450 million women obese globally in 2018. Obesity turns into serious problem globally. Zebrafish model can be used extensively for drug screening due to its low maintenance cost, comparatively short …

Zebrafish in Drug Research: Decoding Biological Mechanisms and Finding Novel Therapeutic Targets
Abstract: The zebrafish, scientifically known as Danio rerio, is a powerful model organism in biological research because of its favorable traits, which include rapid development, genetic tractability, and transparent embryos. Zebrafish were first identified for their use in studies of vertebrate development, but they have since spread to a variety of disciplines, such as pharmacology, clinical research as a disease model, and most notably, drug development. Zebrafish have emerged as a …
