Effects of Vocal Loading task on Teachers’ voice: Measures of Acoustical, Aerodynamic and Self-Perceptual Vocal Parameters
Abstract: Teachers are susceptible to develop dysphonia due to heavy vocal loading. The study aimed to evaluate teachers’ voice before and after vocal loading task, at the beginning and end of the day. Subjects included 70 female (mean age:34.61 years) and 30 male teachers (mean age:36.80 years) aged 25-40 years, involved in atleast four hours of teaching per day. Based on years of teaching experience, they were categorized into four groups. …

Effect study of Cu2O in Perovskite (CH3NH3PbX3, X: I, Br, Cl) Solar Cell as Hole Transport Layer
Abstract: AbstractThe detailed modeling and mathematical simulation on perovskite solar cells have been performed with three various perovskite materials, such as “methyl ammonium lead trial halide (MAPbX3, MA= CH3NH3, X: I, Br, Cl)” with aid of solar cell capacitance simulator software (SCAPS) tools. The electrical possessions of MAPbX3 material performed as “active layer” and measured different parameters such as “open-circuit voltage (Voc), fill factor (FF), power conversion efficiency (PCE), and short-circuit …

Screening for Deviant Voice Characteristics in School Children
Abstract: Objectives: Early detection of voice disorders in children has obvious advantages but it is challenging due to lack of appropriate screening tool and referrals. The present study aims to estimate the prevalence of vocal deviancies in children through screening and to confirm the results with acoustic measures. This also serves to create awareness among teachers, to make appropriate referrals. Method: 260 children aged 4.1 to 10.11 years were screened using …

Speech and Swallowing Impairments in Herpes Zoster: A Case Report
Abstract: Herpes zoster (HZ), caused by reactivation of varicella-zoster virus, can extend beyond dermatological manifestations to involve cranial nerves, resulting in complex speech and swallowing deficits. This case report presents a 54-year-old male with herpes zoster–related cranial neuropathy, who developed unilateral vocal fold paralysis, dysphonia, and dysphagia. Comprehensive assessment included perceptual, acoustic, endoscopic, and patient-reported outcome measures. Perceptual voice evaluation revealed severe dysphonia with breathiness, asthenia, strain, and reduced loudness, confirmed …

Comparative Study of Rocuronium Bromide and Succinylcholine Regarding Ease of Intubating Conditions and Hemodynamic Parameters for Rapid Sequence Intubation in Adults
Abstract: Background: Rapid Sequence Intubation (RSI) is an airway management procedure designed to quickly secure the airway while reducing the likelihood of gastric aspiration during anesthesia induction. For many years, Succinylcholine has been regarded as the preferred neuromuscular blocking agent for RSI because it produces muscle relaxation rapidly and has a relatively brief duration of action. However, its adverse effect profile – including hyperkalemia, bradyarrhythmias, malignant hyperthermia, and increased intracranial and …

Jitter Estimation in Voice
Abstract: Jitter is present in brisk perturbations of the vocal cycle lengths and when they are sampled at least at the rate of fundamental frequency they can be observed from one cycle to the next .Voice quality estimation can be done by analyzing jitter since it provides a high association with voice disorders. It also explains the variance of pitch keeps in the allowance of just noticeable difference, which can be …
