Investigating the Influence of Changing Climate Patterns on Seasonal Water Availability Within Transboundary River Systems
Abstract: Climate change is significantly altering hydrological systems, particularly in transboundary river basins, which are crucial for regional economies, ecosystems, and human well-being. Variations in precipitation patterns, temperature fluctuations, and altered snowmelt are increasing the unpredictability of seasonal water availability, intensifying risks of both water scarcity and flooding. These shifts pose severe challenges to water management, often leading to disputes and complicating regional cooperation among riparian nations. This study investigates the …

Well Injectivity Management during Geological Carbon Sequestration Activity
Abstract: It is well known that the saline aquifer formations are considered very reliable candidates for carbon sequestration because of their wide availability and they have good storage capacity. Due to high formation salinity, there a big concern about bore formation dry-out resulting from the salt precipitation in the form of halite (NaCl). The mutual solubility between CO2 and brine is responsible for creating the salt deposits, this processes may take …

Analysis of the Impact of Seabed Earthquakes on Coastal Structures and Foundation Design
Abstract: Earthquakes in the seabed occur with varying magnitudes. Seabed earthquakes cause a rapid rise in water levels, which can lead to flooding and structural damage. Therefore, when designing buildings near the seashore, it is essential to account for the additional load on columns due to water thrust. Earthquakes occurring at the seabed generate intense ground acceleration of varying magnitudes, significantly affecting water levels and inducing destructive flooding along coastal regions. …

Cenosphere Based No Aggregate Floating Concrete
Abstract: Concrete is an excellent building material, used widely around the world, but the only disadvantage of concrete is that it has self-weight. This self-weight does not allow concrete to be used in light-weight structures. In this work, mix design is prepared in such a manner that density of concrete is less than that of water and hence concrete can float on water and therefore it is termed as floating concrete. …
