Comprehensive Review of EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) Rubber
Abstract: The terpolymer elastomer known as ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) is made up of ethylene and propylene with trace amounts of a non-conjugated diene as a third monomer. This elastomer was created using the idea of limited olefinic functionality, which is brought about by diene monomer incorporating unsaturation into the polymer backbone. This random elastomeric copolymer, which has a fully saturated polymer backbone, has intriguing qualities such as good heat …

AI-Assisted Kinetic Modeling of PLA Hydrolysis Under Subcritical Water Conditions for Sustainable Polymer Recycling
Abstract: The accumulation of poly (lactic acid) (PLA) in terrestrial and marine ecosystems has intensified the demand for closed-loop, green recycling technologies. Subcritical water (SCW) hydrolysis offers a promising, catalyst-free pathway for the rapid depolymerization of PLA into its constituent monomer, lactic acid. However, the complex, highly non-linear kinetics governing macro-molecular degradation under variable hydrothermal conditions limit real-time process optimization and industrial scalability. This study develops a novel artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted …

Development of Primer as a Value Added Product from Waste PET
Abstract: Polyethylene terephthalate was depolymerized by two different chemical recycling techniques i.e. glycolysis and aminolysis. Glycolysis is carried out with Zinc hydroxide and with conventional catalyst i.e. Zinc acetate for the comparable yield of the monomer. Glycolysis is carried out with ethylene glycol whereas aminolysis is done with ethanolamine. Products obtained from both the techniques namely Bis(2-hydroxyethyl) terephthalate (BHET) and Bis(2-hydroxyethyl) terephthalamide (BHETA) have different chemical structure but have hydroxyl functionality …

Domino Reaction for the Synthesis of Nitroolefin Heterocyclic Compound Via Thiazole Formation Followed by Claisen Rearrangement
Abstract: The Baylis-Hillman adducts derived from nitroolefins have been conveniently transformed into Claisen rearrangement. These substances, which include benzothiazole moiety, are very biologically reactive substances. This novel nitro derivative of 2-((E)-2-nitro-3-phenylallyloxy)-3-ethoxybenzaldehyde was simply treated with mole percentage of 2-(2-(2-aminophenyl) disulfanyl) benzenamine in melt reactive condition. Hydrogenated Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (HNBR): A Comprehensive Review
Abstract: HNBR is produced by the hydrogenation of nitrile rubber (NBR) using either a homogeneous or heterogeneous technique. NBR is a copolymer of butadiene and acrylonitrile monomers. The hydrogenation process involves adding hydrogen to the nitrile butadiene copolymer, which results in improved resistance to heat, oxidation, and chemicals compared to NBR. This process alters the molecular structure of the rubber, providing it with superior properties compared to its unmodified counterpart, NBR. …
