Dental Implant Analysis Using the Wear and Hardness Testing Method
Abstract: We will compare the number of implants from the manufacturer using either an analytical approach or a software-based approach using Minitab software regarding structural dental implants. Several factors influence a dental implant, and new bone grows. The implant surface is one of the elements that have a major impact on the quality of osteointegration. Various techniques and resources have been employed to modify an implant's surface to encourage osseointegration along …

Effect of 3D Printing Process Parameters on the Tensile Strength of Polylactic Acid (PLA)
Abstract: This study employs the Taguchi approach to systematically analyze and optimize critical Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) parameters, focusing on their effect on the tensile strength of 3D-printed Polylactic Acid (PLA) components. The study explores three levels of layer thickness (0.15 mm, 0.25 mm, and 0.3 mm), infill densities (25%, 50%, and 75%), and nozzle temperatures (200°C, 205°C, and 210°C) across three infill patterns: Triangular, Gyroid, and Zig-zag. A total of …

Investigation on Dry Sliding Wear Behaviour of AlSi7Mg0.3/B4C/ZrO2 Hybrid Composites using Taguchi Method
Abstract: Hybrid Aluminium/Boron carbide/Zirconium oxide (AlSi7Mg0.3/B4C/ZrO2) composites were fabricated utilizing stir casting technique by varying boron carbide content (4wt.%, 8wt.% and 12wt.%) and utilizing a fixed amount (4wt.%) of zirconium oxide particles. Optical microscopy revealed that B4C and ZrO2 particulates were dispersed uniformly in AlSi7Mg0.3 matrix. Dry sliding wear experiments were carried out utilizing the pin-on-disc tribometer with various levels of applied loads, sliding speeds and weight percentage of boron carbide …

Wear Attribute of Aluminium Metal Matrix Composite Reinforced With MWCNT, Produced By FSP, On A Vertical Milling Machine
Abstract: The exceptional properties of Aluminium metal matrix composites (AMMCs) like good hardness, specific strength, enhanced wear rate made huge demand in the automobile and aerospace industries. The classical methods of manufacturing AMMCs leave problems at the interface of matrix and reinforcement segregation, like an agglomeration of reinforcements, wettability etc. To overcome this, an alternate, innovative method of fabricating aluminium matrix surface composites has been invented, which is termed friction stir …
