Dental Fluorosis: A Review
Abstract: Fluoride is known to affect mineralized tissues of the body and, when consumed at greater than optimal levels, it disturbs the process of tooth and bone mineralization. Excessive consumption of fluoride can cause dental or skeletal fluorosis. Skeletal fluorosis is caused by consumption of much higher quantities of fluoride over extended periods and is a crippling disease characterized by severe bone deformities. On the other hand, dental fluorosis is much …

Early Life Nutrition as a Determinant of Long-Term Vaccine Immunogenicity in Livestock: Mechanisms, Practical Strategies, and Species-Specific Considerations
Abstract: Early life represents a critical period for immune system development in livestock, during which nutritional exposures can exert long lasting effects on vaccine immunogenicity. Although vaccination is a cornerstone of infectious disease control in food producing animals, marked variability in vaccine induced immune responses is frequently observed under commercial conditions. Growing evidence suggests that this variability is partly driven by differences in early nutritional status, which can influence immune maturation, …

A Hybrid Mathematical Model for Epidemic Outbreak Forecasting Using Machine Learning and Cloud Computing
Abstract: The increasing frequency of infectious disease outbreaks has emphasized the necessity for intelligent epidemic surveillance systems capable of predicting disease spread at an early stage. Conventional outbreak detection approaches rely heavily on delayed statistical reporting and manual monitoring techniques, resulting in reduced responsiveness during critical periods. This paper presents a mathematical predictive framework for epidemic outbreak detection using machine learning and cloud computing technologies. The proposed framework integrates the Susceptible–Infected–Recovered …

CBCT: A Boon in Periodontics – A Review
Abstract: Periodontal disease is an inflammatory disease that can be diagnosed mainly based on clinical signs and symptoms. Two-dimensional radiographs are valuable diagnostic tools as an adjunct to the clinical examination in assessing periodontal bone level. Two-dimensional images do not provide accurate bone levels due to its limitations like projection geometry, superimposition of adjacent anatomic structures, leading to the need for three-dimensional imaging that overcomes these limitations. The diagnosis and treatment …
