Enhancing Chatter Resistance in Deep Hole Boring Through Modified Tool Design: A Study on Impact of Length-To-Diameter (L/D) Ratio
Abstract: Deep hole boring is a specialized machining process crucial for creating precise bores with high length-to-diameter (L/D) ratios, particularly vital in aerospace, automotive, and oil and gas industries. The L/D ratio is pivotal for stability and performance. Chatter, a detrimental vibration phenomenon, is a significant concern in deep hole boring, influenced by the L/D ratio. Higher L/D ratios increase chatter, leading to poor surface finish and reduced tool life. Longer …

Super-twisting Algorithm Based Sliding Mode Controlled Boost Converter
Abstract: This work provides analysis of boost converter with super-twisting algorithm under sliding mode operating in continuous conduction mode. The super-twisting algorithm reduces the chattering effect which is inherent in conventional sliding mode control. Generally, chattering increases heat losses, thereby decreasing the performance of the boost converter. The aforementioned control strategy minimizes the initial current peak and provides highly improved output voltage regulation irrespective of the input voltage perturbation and load …

Bayesian Optimization–Driven Operating Parameter Tuning for Maximizing Methane Yield in Anaerobic Digestion
Abstract: To achieve maximum methane production in an anaerobic digestion (AD) process, a combination of various operational parameters must be tuned nonlinearly in the digestion ecosystem. The conventional trial and error optimization methods are slow, resource consuming, and in most instances, cannot model the intricate parameter interaction in biogas production. The current work introduces a Bayesian Optimization-based model to optimize the set of conditions to maximize the level of methane produced …

Advances In HIV Research: Epidemiology, Pathogenesis, And Emerging Therapeutic Strategies
Abstract: Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) remains a critical global health concern, infecting millions of individuals each year. The introduction of antiretroviral therapy (ART) has markedly improved disease outcomes by suppressing viral replication, restoring immune function, and extending patient longevity. Despite these advances, the complete eradication of HIV is hindered by the persistence of viral reservoirs, the emergence of drug-resistant strains, and disparities in healthcare accessibility. This review summarizes key developments in …
