A Review on Herbal Drugs as an Analgesic
Abstract: Any group of drugs of diverse chemical structure and physiological effects which are commonly used for the relief of pain is referred to as analgesics. To qualify as an analgesic, a drug must selectively reduce or abolish pain without causing impairment of consciousness, mental confusion, in coordination or paralysis, or other derangements of the nervous system. Opium is the best-known class of narcotic alkaloid analgesics, a drug obtained by extracting …

Obstetrical Operation and Epidural Analgesia in Domestic Animals: An Overview
Abstract: Harvesting a live calf depends upon the early intervention when getting call from owners or farm managers. Obstetrics skills are required to manage the dystocia either maternal or fetal form of dystocia. Diagnostic evaluation and treatment depends upon the condition presented to the obstetrician. Most probably obstetrician follows mutation, forced extraction, fetotomy and caesarean section. Most of the cases require mutation operation, the valid mutation operation followed by judicious traction …

Optimizing Anesthesia for Major Surgery: The Role of Sequential Combined Spinal-Epidural Technique
Abstract: The Combined Spinal Epidural (CSE) approach has been widely employed over the last decade because it achieves rapid onset and substantial blockage while also allowing for the modification or prolongation of the block. Background: Sequential spinal-epidural anesthesia (SSEA) combines the rapid onset and dense blockade of spinal anesthesia with the prolonged duration and adjustable analgesia of epidural anesthesia. This technique is particularly beneficial in major surgeries requiring prolonged operative time …

Acupuncture in Pain Management: A Neurophysiological and Clinical Perspective
Abstract: Acupuncture, a key component of traditional Chinese medicine, has gained widespread recognition as an alternative therapy for pain management. This practice involves the insertion of fine needles into specific points on the body to influence the flow of energy or "Qi" (pronounced "chee") and restore balance. Mechanistically, acupuncture is believed to modulate pain through neurophysiological pathways, including the release of endorphins, the activation of the body's natural analgesic systems, and …
