The Overview of Software Testing: Types, Methods, and Levels
Abstract: Software development life cycle (SDLC) is a software development model consisting of different phases i.e., analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance. The analysis phase is the primary phase in which all the requirements are gathered and analysed which is further used for designing and coding. The next phase is testing. Software testing is a process of evaluating software so as to check whether it satisfies the requirements of the …

Study of Cost Overrun in Repair & Rehabilitation Projects in India
Abstract: In broad sense, the word "rehabilitation" suggested putting a building back to how it was before. The specialized area of repair and rehabilitation engineering necessitates knowledge and skills that go beyond those needed for design and construction engineering. Repair and rehabilitation projects are significantly more challenging and more complicated than new construction projects. It is vital to take a methodical approach to structural deterioration, and technology management and economics should …

Farmer Producer Organizations as Catalysts of Rural Transformation: A Multidimensional Framework from Punjab, India
Abstract: Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) have evolved as an important institutional mechanism for resolving the socio-economic challenges of small and marginal farmers by fostering collective action, expanding market access, and boosting bargaining power. In the broader context of sustainable rural development, FPOs are increasingly acknowledged as catalysts of rural transformation by contributing to numerous dimensions of farmer well-being. However, current study has generally analyzed FPOs through economic and operational indicators, with …

Exploring the Role of Ginkgo biloba in Investigating 7L1X in Triple-Negative Breast Cancer Through Integrative Bioinformatics
Abstract: Objectives: Triple-negative breast cancer is a very dangerous form of cancer that affects mostly Hispanic and African American women above the age of 40. It represents approximately 15–20% of the global cancer incidence. This experiment aims to investigate the use of Gingko biloba in the treatment of the disease triple-negative breast cancer. Methods: We use a variety of online tools, and websites, including the Indian Medicinal Plants, Phytochemistry, and Therapeutics …

Trend Analysis of Long-Term Rainfall Data for Monsoon Season of Kharun Catchment
Abstract: This research paper investigates the trends in monsoon season rainfall over a 31-year period (1990–2021) using the non-parametric Mann–Kendall test. A range of statistical methods were utilized to analyze the rainfall data, providing valuable insights into its temporal patterns and trends. The correlation coefficient, measured by Kendall's Tau, exhibited a minimal positive correlation of 0.004 between years and their corresponding rainfall, quantities. This implies a slight tendency for increased rainfall …

Neurophysiological Effects of Chanting the Gayatri Mantra on Students of Allied Health Sciences: A Study among 1200 Students at Paramedical College, Desh Bhagat University
Abstract: Background: The Gayatri Mantra, a sacred Vedic chant, is traditionally believed to offer numerous benefits, including mental clarity, stress reduction, and cognitive enhancement. Despite anecdotal evidence supporting these claims, scientific research on its neurophysiological effects, especially within educational settings, remains limited. This study investigates the impact of chanting the Gayatri Mantra on brain activity, stress levels, and cognitive performance among 1200 students in the Allied Health Sciences program at Paramedical …

Hand Gesture Recognition Systems: A Review of Vision-based and Sensor-based Approaches
Abstract: With many real-world uses, such as sign language translation and human-computer interaction, hand gesture detection is a crucial area of study in the science of computer vision. In this study, we propose a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) model that uses real-time camera images to recognise hand gestures. A collection of hand motion photographs spanning the English alphabet (A-Z) was gathered, and the images were pre-processed to exclude any backdrop and …

Anaphylaxis: Pathophysiology, Risk Factors, and Clinical Management
Abstract: Anaphylaxis is a syndrome characterized by broncho-constriction, vasodilatation, and hypovolemia, potentially fatal exposure to known or unknown antigens. It can be an immune-mediated (IgE & non-IgE) disease. Immunoglobulin G (IgG), complement related (C3a/C5a), bradykinin, leukotrienes, prostaglandin E2, and ligands of certain G-protein coupled receptors (GPCR) can directly activate mast cells, basophils, eosinophils, neutrophils, endothelial cells and smooth muscles. Serum tryptase level during episodes of anaphylaxis, skin test, and basophil activation …

A Factorial Investigation of Hyperparameter Tuning Strategies for Lasso- Based Genomic Prediction
Abstract: In an earlier comparative study of machine-learning methods for genomic prediction of wheat grain yield, we reported a counter-intuitive result: automated nested-cross-validation tuning of the Lasso regularization penalty reduced mean predictive ability relative to a fixed, arbitrarily chosen penalty (mean Pearson r falling from 0.408 to 0.349 across four environments), the opposite of the expected effect of hyperparameter tuning. We hypothesized two possible explanations at the time — high-variance penalty …
