A Comparative Study of the Structure–Property Relationships in CAD/CAM Milled vs. 3D-Printed High-Performance Polymers: Impact of Molecular Orientation on Abrasive-Wear Resistance
Abstract: Background: The transition from subtractive to additive manufacturing in prosthetic dentistry has introduced significant variations in the macromolecular architecture of high-performance polymers. While CAD/CAM milling utilizes high-density, industrially polymerized blocks, 3D printing (Additive Manufacturing) relies on layer-by-layer deposition, which may induce anisotropic molecular orientation. This retrospective study investigates how these distinct manufacturing “thermal histories” influence the long-term abrasive-wear resistance of PEEK and PEKK restorations. Materials and Methods: Data were retrospectively …

Review on Photoconductive Antenna Design from Conventional to Microstructures
Abstract: Semiconductors possess many diverse phenomena under terahertz-frequency electromagnetic radiation (THz). This is due to the fact that the energy of THz photons is at quite large scales in case of bulk and low-dimensional materials and devices. With regard to broadband THz sources, various inorganic crystals such as ZnTe/GaP/GaAs/GaSe/DAST/LiNbO3 have been used which are pumped by femtosecond laser pulses. These pulses are combined with field-resolved detection through electro-optic sampling using similar …

Depolymerization of Polypropylene: A Systematic Review
Abstract: AbstractPolypropylene have become an indispensable ingredient of human life and most widely used thermoplastic in commodity applications. Polymerization of propylene is carried out by using Ziegler-Natta or Metallocene catalysts, which results in high molecular weights and crystalline polypropylene which are not required for several applications. Reduction in molecular weight of polypropylene in conventional reactors is uneconomical and complicated. Therefore to overcome this problem researchers and technologists proposed a post reactor …
