Abstract: The aim of this study was to see the effect of diet mainly non-vegetarian on Muslim population on basal metabolic rate, that is, BMR. It has been found that BMR increases with the consumption of non-vegetarian diet. The study found that the average BMR level in the group exceeded 30, placing them in the obese category.
