Influence of Antibiotic Promotion Practices on Pharmacovigilance and Resistance Reporting Patterns
Abstract: The global escalation of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) has emerged as a critical public health crisis, undermining decades of therapeutic advancements. While inappropriate prescribing and misuse of antibiotics are widely acknowledged contributors, the role of pharmaceutical promotion practices remains underexplored in influencing prescribing behaviors and downstream pharmacovigilance systems. Drug Marketing in Tropical Regions and Its Effect on Pharmacovigilance Awareness and Reporting
Abstract: Drug marketing practices in tropical regions present a complex interplay between pharmaceutical promotion, healthcare infrastructure limitations, and public health outcomes. These regions – characterized by high disease burden, socio-economic disparities, and diverse healthcare delivery systems – often experience unique challenges in ensuring safe and rational drug use. Aggressive and sometimes unregulated marketing strategies by pharmaceutical companies may significantly influence prescribing behavior, patient compliance, and, ultimately, pharmacovigilance systems. Catalytic Performance Improvement in Polymer Derived Nanostructures for Fuel Cell Applications
Abstract: The performance and operational lifetime of PEMFCs are closely linked to the catalytic activity and durability of cathode electrocatalysts. In this research, a polymer-derived cobalt–iron nitrogen-doped carbon (CoFe–N/C) nanostructured catalyst is developed to enhance the ORR performance for PEMFC applications. PAN and melamine serve as nitrogen-rich polymer precursors, while cobalt and iron salts generate highly dispersed metal–nitrogen active sites within a porous carbon matrix through thermal treatment at 900 °C. …

Molecular Surveillance of Spring Viraemia of Carp Virus (SVCV) and Koi Herpesvirus (KHV) Across Major Aquaculture Zones of Telangana, India
Abstract: Viral diseases represent a persistent threat to cyprinid aquaculture; however, region-specific surveillance data from tropical production systems remain limited. To address this gap, a comprehensive statewide active surveillance programme was undertaken across Telangana, India, from 2019 to 2022 to investigate the occurrence of two priority transboundary pathogens, Spring Viraemia of Carp Virus (SVCV) and Koi Herpesvirus (KHV). A total of 414 fish specimens were systematically collected from five surveillance sectors …

Unraveling Mixed Ionic-Electronic Conduction in Lithium-Substituted Rubidium Tetra Titanates via Dielectric Spectroscopy and EPR Analysis
Abstract: Lithium-substituted Rubidium Tetra Titanates with varying concentrations of lithium carbonate (Li₂CO₃) — specifically 0.01, 0.05, and 0.1 molar percentages — were successfully synthesized using a conventional high-temperature solid-state reaction method. The resulting compounds follow the general chemical formula Rb₂₋ₓLiₓTi₄O₉. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis confirmed that lithium ions were successfully incorporated into the crystal lattice without disrupting the fundamental layered structure of the host material. The crystal system remained monoclinic across …

Esterification in Reactive Distillation Column Using Software Packages: A Review
Abstract: Abstract: Reactive distillation is the combination of reaction and separation in a same column. This represents an exciting alternative to traditional liquid phase chemical reaction processing. In reactive distillation, separation of products from unconverted reactants allows for better conversion, because produce elimination put out of place equilibrium and forces the reaction towards completion. The energy requirement of the conventional column is very and requires large recycling costs. Reactive Distillation is …

Electromagnetic Disc Braking with Smart Assistant
Abstract: Electro-mechanical disc brakes are electrically actuated, yet mechanically transmit torque. The magnetic flux attracts the armature to the face of the brake when power is applied to the coil of an electromagnet. It squeezes the inner and outer friction discs together as it does so. The design of an electromagnetic disc brake requires a multidisciplinary approach. Its performance is an outcome of the usage of concepts from various fields, viz. …

Mechanistic and Catalytic Behavior of Os(VIII) for the Chlorpheniramine Maleate and Bromamine-B Redox System: A Kinetics Based Approach
Abstract: Chlorpheniramine maleate (CPM) is an important antihistamine agent. To the best of our knowledge there is no report in the literature about the oxidation of CPM with halogen + 1 oxidant from the stand point of its kinetics and mechanistic chemistry. Hence, a systematic kinetics and mechanistic study on the oxidation of CPM with bromamine-B (BAB) in the presence of NaOH and Os(VIII) catalyst has been carried out at 303 …

Fundamentals and Recent Advances in Microreactor Catalysis and Flow Chemistry
Abstract: The processing technology of chemical reactions has changed quite a bit over the last few decades. For a long time, chemists relied on batch reactors having large containers where all the starting materials are mixed, and the reaction happens in one go. While this approach works, it has several drawbacks: poor heat control, uneven mixing, safety risks, and a lot of waste. Microreactors and flow chemistry offer a much better …
