Sequestration of Cr(VI) by the Activated Carbon prepared from Coffee husk(CHAC)
Abstract: The potential of Coffee husks for the production of a low-cost activated carbon (CHAC) was investigated in this study. During the synthesis of the adsorbent, the concentration of the activating agent (H3PO4), impregnation ratio, carbonization temperature and holding time were optimized by Response Surface Method (RSM) using Box-Behnken design.
