Digital Twin Assisted Intelligent Prediction of Polymer Composite Degradation Under Environmental Exposure
Abstract: Polymer matrix composites (PMCs) deployed in aerospace, marine, automotive, and renewable-energy structures are continuously subjected to coupled environmental stressors — ultraviolet (UV) radiation, moisture ingress, thermal cycling, and mechanical loading — that progressively degrade their mechanical performance. Conventional accelerated ageing tests and empirical lifetime models are time-consuming, destructive, and poorly suited to in-service, asset-specific degradation forecasting. This paper proposes a Digital Twin (DT) assisted intelligent prediction framework that fuses a …

QSAR Analysis on a Series of Triazole Based Tubulin Polymerization Inhibitors
Abstract: AbstractThe polymerization progression of microtubules is vital to their natural capacities. Polymerization flow allows microtubules to embrace spatial courses of action that can change quickly because of cell needs and, at times, to perform mechanical work. Compounds that interfere with the microtubule-tubulin equilibria in cells are helpful in the treatment of human diseases. A few triazoles mimics of combretastatin-benzothiazole (CAB) hybrids had good activity as inhibitors both of tubulin polymerization …

Studies on Length-Weight Relationships and Condition Factor of Common Fish Dawkinsia filamentosa (Cypriniforms: Cyprinidae) from Southern Western Ghats, India
Abstract: AbstractThe present study describes the length-weight relationships and condition factor of a freshwater fish of Dawkinsia filamentosa (Valenciennes, 1844), southern Western Ghats, Tamilnadu, India. A total of 103 fishes were sampled from four mid-order streams (Thalaianai, Iluppaiyar, Gadana and Gundar). Fish samples were caught from March to May 2013. The linear regression parameters ‘a’ and ‘b’ of the length-weight relationship were estimated as W=aLb are presented. The result indicates that …

Development and Validation of an Analytical Method for Determination of Modafinil in Bulk and Formulations using First Order Derivative UV Spectrophotometer
Abstract: Analytical method validation is an important tool to determine the absolute concentration of drug in the formulation. In the case where a drug is not able to produce characteristic peak shape, a simple, accurate, precise and sensitive method, which will be governed through the software conversion of UV spectra into the first-order derivative, can be used as an alternative method for the estimation of modafinil in bulk and pharmaceutical dosage …

Ligand Efficiency in Relation to 3D Physicochemical Characters of Novel HIV-1 Vif Antagonist: An Approach in The Optimization of HIV Drugs
Abstract: AbstractLigand efficiency is a design framework commonly used in drug discovery. Thirty-six (36) newly discovered 1,2,3-triazole analogues as potent new inhibitors of HIV-1 Vif were subjected to quantitative structure-property relationship (QSPR) modeling to predict their ligand efficiencies (LE) in an attempt to improve/optimize it by using some numerical data of HIV-1 Vif inhibitors based on their physical and chemical properties (descriptors). Various 3D physicochemical properties or descriptors were calculated from …

Polarimetric Scattering Parameter Products of ALOS PALSAR for Forest Biomass Assessment
Abstract: One of the prime factors in the global carbon budget is forest biomass. Synthetic aperture radar polarimetry finds a useful application in remote sensing of forests as it can help with the assessment of forest structure and above-ground forest biomass. Pauli and H/A/alpha decomposition techniques are applied on the dual polarimetric L-Band ALOS PALSAR data. Relationship between ground biomass and corresponding polarimetric scattering parameter (PSP) products is investigated and a …

Modeling Dispersed Count Data: Evaluating the Conway–Maxwell–Poisson Regression with COVID-19 Mortality Data
Abstract: Count data are prevalent in diverse fields such as biology, healthcare, psychology, and marketing, characterized by non-negativity and inherent heteroskedasticity, often exhibiting overdispersion or underdispersion. Traditional Poisson regression, which assumes equal mean and variance, is inadequate for such dispersed data. To address this, various generalized linear models (GLMs) and their extensions, including negative binomial (NB) and Conway–Maxwell–Poisson (CMP) regressions, are utilized. This study evaluates the performance of CMP regression compared …
