Effect of Notch on Low Cycle Fatigue of AA 2024-T351
Abstract: Notch effect on low cycle fatigue of AA 2024-T351 was investigated. Decreasing notch curvature leads to less cyclic hardening. Values of fatigue strength exponent (b) and fatigue ductility (c) for notch specimens were out of range of metallic materials. The SEM examination showed multi-crack origins with secondary cracks and a large final-fracture zone for unnotched specimens, while there was small final fracture zone close to the center of the specimen …

Parametric Optimization and Stiffness Determination of XY Positioning Stage for High Precision Applications
Abstract: In micro-electro-mechanical system (MEMS) flexural mechanisms are widely used because of their advantages such as frictionless and wear less motion and high precision. Flexures depend on material elasticity for their functionality. In flexure mechanism, motion is generated due to elastic deformation of the beam from which it is made. One of the typical advantages of flexural mechanism is to gain precise deformation and flexibility to obtain motion in desired direction. …

Biochemical, Antimicrobial Characterization of Dooars Tea (Camellia sinensis) Clone during CTC Manufacturing
Abstract: Industrial manufacturing of CTC tea includes different stages. The polyphenol content catechins are oxidized from stage 1–4 (including withering, cutting/tearing, fermentation/oxidation and drying processes). The catechins are polymerized to tannins with the help of enzyme polyphenol oxidase (PPO), both classes of compounds show differential antioxidant (total flavonoid content, UV absorbing compounds content, antioxidant enzyme Phenylalanine ammonia lyase activity is changed), antimicrobial and therapeutic potentials, usually reduced in late (dried) stages. …

Effect of Flexibility on Aircraft Wing
Abstract: The shape of the aerofoil determines how the air circulates around it and how much moment and force will be the acting on it. When the body is rigid (fixed) flow around the geometry remains unchanged at particular A.O.A. (angle of attack), but if the body is allowed to be flexible (free) i.e., it can deform its shape, due to which there will be a significant change in the shape …

Writing Research Report in LIS
Abstract: AbstractFinally, your data have been collected, sorted and re-sorted, studied, analyzed and re-analyzed. Now you have come to the final activity of the final stage-writing it all up. You are either at the top of the pyramid or on the last step in the recursive cycle. But remember that nothing is final and that you will constantly refer back to earlier stages and steps during the report-writing exercise. Keywords: Research …

Pulse Oximeter using PSoC
Abstract: A pulse oximeter to measure the oxygen saturation in blood as well as heart rate was developed using PSoC. The method proposed here is to transmit light of two different wavelengths through the finger and tissues and to measure the change in absorption intensities. The signals are obtained as photoplethysmograph (PPG) waveforms. The pulse oximeter finds the variations in both the waveforms and calculates the SpO2 and heart rate of …

Unified Relations that Connect Micro-Macro Physical Constants of Atom, Nucleus and The Universe
Abstract: The ultimate aim of unification is to understand the inter-relations that may exist in between the fundamental physical constants that rule the atom, nucleus and the universe. So far scientists proposed several interesting models. By assuming the strength of Schwarzschild interaction as ‘unity’ and by considering Avogadro number as a suitable scaling factor, the authors made an attempt to understand the basics of final unification and developed heuristic semi empirical …
