Dissipative Particle Dynamics Simulation Study on the Evolution of Photoinitiated Free Radical Polymerization Crosslinked Networks
Abstract: Gradient polymer materials overcome the limitations of conventional homogeneous polymers by integrating multiple distinct functionalities within a single continuous structure. Although photoinitiated free-radical polymerization offers excellent spatial and temporal control, the underlying microscopic mechanisms governing network evolution under non-uniform light fields remain poorly understood. In this study, a mesoscale dissipative particle dynamics (DPD) model was successfully developed to couple free-radical polymerization kinetics—including initiation, propagation, crosslinking, and termination—with exponential light attenuation …

The Impact of Bacteria and Biostimulants on Crude Oil Breakdown in Loamy Soil
Abstract: This study investigates the influence of bacteria and biostimulants—specifically Bryophyllum pinnatum leaves soaked in both water and ethanol—on the degradation of crude oil in loamy soil. A laboratory-scale bioremediation setup was employed using a batch reactor model and first-order degradation kinetics to assess total petroleum hydrocarbon (TPH) breakdown under controlled conditions. Various analytical tools and procedures, including gas chromatography (Agilent 6890) and microbial media such as nutrient agar and mineral …

Generative Design of Bioactive Orthopedic Composites for Fracture Repair Using an Integrated Conditional GAN–Transformer Framework: A Multi-Objective Approach
Abstract: Orthopedic composite implants for fracture repair must simultaneously satisfy conflicting mechanical and biological demands: high fracture toughness, sufficient compressive stiffness, and bioactive surface chemistry enabling osteoblast adhesion and mineralization. Existing design approaches rely on trial-and-error experimentation, yielding sub-optimal trade-offs between these objectives. This paper presents an integrated conditional Generative Adversarial Network–Transformer (cGAN-T) framework for fully computational, multi-objective generative design of hydroxyapatite (HA)-reinforced polymer composite microstructures targeting Orthopedic fracture repair. Performance of Some Modified Ordinary Ridge Regression Estimators
Abstract: In multiple linear regressions, if the data suffer from severe multicollinearity, then the ordinary least squares (OLS) method become more sensitive to it, and in such a case OLS could yield wrong sign for some of the regression coefficients. Therefore, when such a situation arises, we could use one of the biased regression methods viz., ridge regression, principal component regression, and so on, as an alternative method to OLS. This …
