Fractional Riemannian Fuzzy C-Means with Time-Series Regularization for Economic Manifold Forecasting
Abstract: A fractional Riemannian fuzzy c-means framework is proposed for uncertain economic forecasting on non-Euclidean data domains. Observations are represented on a Riemannian manifold, cluster centres are intrinsic prototypes, and a latent fuzzy regime signal is regularised by both autoregressive and fractional-memory penalties. The resulting objective couples geometric clustering with time-series consistency, thereby discouraging partitions that are locally plausible but temporally incoherent. Closed-form membership updates, exponential-map centre updates, normal equations for …

An Aggregate-Breakage Percolation Model and ANN-Based Internal Validation for Curvature-Dependent Electrical Conductivity of MWCNT/TPU Nanocomposites
Abstract: Strain-dependent percolation models are mostly built and tested for uniaxial tension, yet many flexible sensors and stretchable devices work mainly in bending, where the outer fibre is stretched, the inner fibre is compressed and the strain changes with thickness. This study extends an aggregate-breakage percolation model, originally formulated for uniaxial strain, to through-thickness bending of a multi-walled carbon nanotube/thermoplastic polyurethane (MWCNT/TPU) nanocomposite. The local strain is taken as ε(y) = …

Machine Learning-Based Task Scheduling and Resource Optimization in Edge-IoT Systems
Abstract: The rapid expansion of Internet of Things (IoT) applications has introduced significant challenges in managing computational workloads across distributed edge environments. Edge- IoT systems are characterized by limited computational capacity, dynamic task arrivals, and strict latency constraints. Traditional heuristic-based scheduling techniques often fail to adapt to fluctuating workloads and heterogeneous resource availability. This study proposes a machine learning-based task scheduling and resource optimization framework for Edge-IoT systems. The proposed model …

Performance of Some Modified Ordinary Ridge Regression Estimators
Abstract: In multiple linear regressions, if the data suffer from severe multicollinearity, then the ordinary least squares (OLS) method become more sensitive to it, and in such a case OLS could yield wrong sign for some of the regression coefficients. Therefore, when such a situation arises, we could use one of the biased regression methods viz., ridge regression, principal component regression, and so on, as an alternative method to OLS. This …
