Effect of Zr, Fe Mono, Bimetallic Nanoparticles on the Electronic Properties of PVA/PVP Polymer blend
Abstract: AbstractThis paper describes the environmentally friendly production of polymer blend nanocomposites (PBNCs) made of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and embedded with Zirconium(ZrO2), Iron (Fe2O3), and Zirconium-Iron (Zr-Fe), mono and bimetallic nanoparticles (NPs). FTIR spectroscopy was used to investigate the blend's development, interaction between polymers and nanoparticles, interactions between polymers and one another, and the impact of nanoparticles on interactions within PVA/PVP blend nanocomposites. With the addition of nanoparticles …

Optical, Thermal Properties of Cadmium Chloride Reinforced PVA:PVP Blend Films
Abstract: In this study, pure polymer blend film (PVA:PVP) and salt (CdCl2.H2O) reinforced polymer blend films were prepared at different weight ratios (10, 20, 30) wt% using the casting method. The optical and thermal properties of all polymer blend films were studied. The transmittance and absorbance spectra were recorded within the wavelength range (190-1100) nm. The effect of salt weight ratio on the energy gap of salt (CdCl2.H2O) reinforced polymer blend films …

Aluminium-Doped Zinc Ferrite Nanoparticles Synthesized by Combustion Method for Polymer Composite Applications
Abstract: ZnFe₂₋xAlₓO₄ (x = 0 and 0.5) nanoparticles were synthesized via a combustion method owing to its simplicity, cost efficiency, and ability to produce highly crystalline nanomaterials. Powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis confirmed the formation of a single-phase cubic spinel structure without detectable secondary phases, indicating high phase purity. The average crystallite size was estimated to be in the range of 14–20 nm, confirming the nanocrystalline nature of the samples. Field-emission …

Structural, Optical, Surface, and Gas-Sensing Properties of rGO/Sn1–xZnxO₂ Nanocomposites
Abstract: rGO/Sn₁–ₓZnₓO₂ nanocomposites with x = 0.00–0.75 were synthesized by sol–gel auto-combustion followed by wet impregnation with reduced graphene oxide. The adopted synthesis route enabled homogeneous Zn incorporation into the SnO₂ matrix and uniform distribution of rGO, leading to improved structural integrity and interfacial contact between the two components. XRD confirmed a dominant tetragonal cassiterite SnO₂ structure, while FTIR, FESEM, EDS, UV–visible, and BET analyses verified oxide–rGO coupling, Zn-dependent structural modification, …

Preparation of Transparent and Thermal Resistant Zirconia Reinforced Epoxy Based Polymer Matrix Composite Coatings
Abstract: This study investigates the thermal stability, structural characteristics, optical transparency, and surface wettability of epoxy-based composite coatings reinforced with 2 wt.% zirconia (ZrO₂) nanoparticles. The composite coatings were synthesized using a dip-coating technique on carbon fiber substrates and subsequently subjected to thermal treatments at 300 °C, 400 °C, and 500 °C. Structural analysis using X-ray diffraction (XRD) confirmed the amorphous nature of the epoxy matrix with no significant crystallization or …
