Studies on the antioxidant content and antimicrobial activity of cucumber (cucumissativus) peel collected from bagmari, kolkata, west bengal, india
Abstract: Cucumber (Cucumis sativus) is widely consumed across the globe, yet its peels are commonly discarded as waste, despite possessing a wealth of bioactive compounds. Recent studies have highlighted that these peels contain substantial amounts of antioxidants, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and anti-carcinogenic properties, making them a promising candidate for value-added applications. In this study, methanolic extracts (80% v/v) of cucumber peels were systematically analyzed to assess their total phenolic content (TPC), total …

Spaces for Mindfulness: Interiors that foster meditation and inner peace
Abstract: This dissertation explores the role of interior design in fostering mindfulness, meditation, and internal peace through thoughtfully designed spaces. The research investigates how various design elements—together with lighting fixtures, color schemes, spatial arrangement, acoustics, and material selection—can create environments that sell relaxation, intellectual readability, and emotional nicely-being. Central to the have a look at is the exploration of how mindful layout can beautify occupant comfort and psychological well-being with the …

Multi-Sensor System for Underwater Pothole Detection to Enhance Road Safety During Monsoon Seasons
Abstract: Monsoon seasons across India and similar tropical regions severely compromise road safety by causing water accumulation that conceals dangerous potholes beneath stagnant pools, leading to frequent vehicle damage, tire punctures, and fatal accidents. Traditional detection methods relying on smartphone accelerometers, ultrasonic sensors, or machine vision fail under flooded conditions due to acoustic signal reflection at water surfaces and optical distortions from glare and turbidity. This research proposes an innovative multi-sensor …

Li-Fi in Surgery: A Study
Abstract: The operating theatre is increasingly saturated with wireless devices that contend for limited radiofrequency (RF) spectrum, creating a latent risk of electromagnetic interference (EMI) with lifesupporting equipment. Light Fidelity (LiFi), a visiblelight communication technology that modulates LED illumination to transmit data, offers a compelling, RFfree alternative for intraoperative networking. This study investigates the feasibility, performance, and clinical impact of deploying a LiFi infrastructure to support highdefinition video streaming, realtime telemetry, …

Synthesis and Spectral Characterization of Complexes Tin(II) With 4-Nitrophenol
Abstract: Tin(II)4-nitrophenoxide complexes with the formulas SnCl(OC₆H₄NO₂-4) and Sn(OC₆H₄NO₂-4)₂ were prepared through the reaction of stannous chloride (SnCl₂) with 4-nitrophenol (HOC₆H₄NO₂-4) in 1:1 and 1:2 molar ratios, respectively. The reaction was performed in tetrahydrofuran (THF) with diethylamine serving as the base. The resulting compounds were characterized through elemental analysis, determination of molecular weight, molar conductance measurements, and spectroscopic methods including IR and ¹H NMR spectroscopy. Current investigations are directed toward assessing …

Anticancer, Nutritional & Other Therapeutic Potentials of Microgreens
Abstract: Microgreens are young, tender greens, immature greens (require light for photosynthesis and growing medium) that are developed from the seeds of cereals, herbs, legumes, and vegetables. These are used to enhance the color, texture, or flavor of salads and main dishes. The immature plants are harvested between 7 and 21 days, depending on the variety. They are referred to as "living superfoods," "functional foods," or "nutraceuticals," because they are rich …
